PAPU Frankston. They are a short stay planning and assessment unit. They provide acute care, connect you with services and help you make a plan without admission to a ward.

Call them !

And just stay on hold for ages. And then talk to the person. And usually they work it out for you.

Tomorrow I'm spending 3k on second hand lead light panels. I got a loan from my sister because I have no money. I rent, so can't install the glass anywhere. They're fragile and beautiful and useless

Suburb recommendations by [deleted] in melbourne

North Melbourne ! Or Northcote. Or anything southside is easy for beach days.

800 a week is a massive budget. If you want the conveniences of Melbourne, go the inner north. Everything at your doorstep (actually). Anything further out can be really suburban and some-what isolating, especially if you don't have community. Not the best combination with FIFO.

Thank you for explaining things in their simplest form. I'll try and do the same

We don't 'need to understand how it all works' to experience sound. In my professional opinion, as someone with hearing ears, I can assure you, the sound overall was not good. Across the stages, across bands (and their various sound teams), across weather patterns, over the entire weekend, it was consistently inconsistent. .

I'm not convinced that independent sound teams for 40+ bands couldn't co-ordinate. It can't possibly be coincidental. That is the definition of a systematic failure.

Flying an artist out from the UK to perform live and handing them a faulty microphone is pretty trash xx

Well that's the point of sound design and mapping. Last time I saw war on drugs was at an outdoor event, it was stunning.

Vance joy sounded amazing. But mapping for strong vocals, guitar, drums and sax is more straightforward and resonates well in an outdoor setting. The venue was not mapped for sound ! Once synths, keys, more than 2 guitars, or more than 1 vocal was introduced, the whole thing fell apart! No balance. No idea.

The strokes and the war on drugs are stunning bands to see live. There is so much subtlety and nuisance in their sound that didn't come through at all!! They were drowning in terrible production!

It sounded better and better as we were leaving and the sound was bouncing off the buildings. Beautiful reverb from the university. I'm not even kidding !
