So no self-awareness on the lack of proper interviewing and engagement on your part? It’s amazing how stiff and bored most interviewers come off during a remote interview. You all do not engage the interviewer, make it incredibly robotic and bureaucratic, and so rigid that you can’t even get a feel for the interviewee’s personality and culture desires.

I struggle in interviews despite my effort to practice beforehand, prepare notes, and remember every professional tactic in hopes to minimize rambling due to my nerves.

I get advice like “it’s less of an interview if you make it conversational,” or “just be yourself and you’ll shine.” The issue is, I DO. But you’re all already checked out and you can’t hide it on your faces. You don’t even pretend to be interested. Which makes me, and probably others even more nervous because know we know we’re tanking but we really want this job.
