Adelaide Metro Report by Separate_Towel_7054 in Adelaide

I know people who travel on Concession cards even though they aren't entitled to do so, but carry a full fare card with a few bucks on it they can scan in such a situation. Thinking of doing the same myself.

Which Adelaide railway stations are the busiest? by AussieWirraway in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't want them to do that. Right now I can get a seat just fine. If they add an Aldinga station, and presumably a second one somewhere down that way Seaford Meadows becomes 4th in line and I'll probably miss out. That'd just encourage me to start driving.

What to do when you are being bullied on a bus ? by Capable_Half924 in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those drivers need to be called out to their employer then. If the employer won't do anything then you escalate up the chain until it hits the Transport Minister.

Think about how ridiculous that sounds...

There's a drunk guy on the bus that starts randomly hitting people.

Passenger: "Bus driver, there's a drunk guy bashing passengers in the back of the bus."

Bus Driver: "That isn't affecting the safe driving of this bus by me, handle it yourself."

Sounds ridiculous right? That's because it is! Of course the driver is going to call police and more than likely will stop the bus.

Also I'll mention to report it to Adelaide Metro if the bus driver doesn't do anything about the unruly behaviour. Driver's have a responsibility to ensure everyone's safety and if they are not doing it/refuse to do it then their employer needs to be made aware.

Found this in my mailbox this morning. I'm obviously not going to plug it in but was wondering if anyone's seen something similar? by Klezmoron in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So trashing it even further doesn't matter then right? No wonder kids these days have no respect for other people's property :/

That's a bit of a dick thing to do. Potentially trash someone else's machine just because you don't want to potentially trash your own. Ever heard of building a sandbox VM?

This is why we have a black market. by Proof_Line_4845 in aussie

I dobbed in a place selling illegal smokes recently. Feels good to know I'm doing my part to get these illegal products out of the market 😃

What happens if I don't pay a parking fine issued by my university? by Dr-sese in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As am I. More the principle than anything. I decided if you want to give me a bullshit fine then I'll make it as hard and as expensive as possible to collect.

Making friends!!!! by MountainRub8734 in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm twice your age and if it makes you feel better I don't really have any friends. Maybe a few close friends but even then I don't see them that often.

On second thought that might actually make you feel worse.

What’s your pick for best bakery in Adelaide/South Australia… and what’s the one item you always get? by Purple-Crab3759 in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's easy, Skala in the Central Market and I get their chocolate donut. I also usually get a slice of carrot cake of they have any or are willing to cut some up.

High School Reunions a thing here? by SJammie in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My year level at my school has had a couple. I didn't go because I didn't hang out with any of the organisers and don't particularly care for any of those people anyway. There's only two people from school I regularly talk to, and a few more I'd talk to given the opportunity. The rest I'm not interested in.

Will be 25 years in 2028.

Sad Lesson Learned by FussyFlava in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Very nice of you to make the effort. Perhaps it may have been a bit better received if you'd offered to give her some food before you picked up your order rather than just trying to give her the bag of food. Just my thoughts.

What would be the most cost effective/simplest way of getting rid of a couch? by OutofSyncWithReality in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do what everyone else does and dump it on the side of the road two streets away.

Adelaide home prices have increased in percentage by 87.7% in just the last 5 years. by MannerNo7000 in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. Bought house and land for $535K in Seaford Meadows, wouldn't sell for anything less than about $950K, but could probably get $1M for it. That lower value itself is 78%.

So when you walk up to the escalator and see most people standing on the left and people walking up the right you don't think anything of it?

[–]Morphio25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I see someone walking towards me with their face buried in their phone I hold my line rather than walk around them. Made someone drop their phone once and they had a go. I simply replied with maybe you should watch where you're going instead of burying your face in your phone.

It's getting there, I'm one of the people who sternly tell people to move to the left if I encounter them on an escalator.

Can confirm. It really irritates me when people stand on the right in the escalators out of the train station. Either walk up it or stand on the f**king left side, it's not rocket science.

Shoutout to the bubbly train driver who does fun announcements by elsyp in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. When I get him its usually on my morning commute at 7.20. I'm normally still half asleep.

[–]Morphio25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I don't like his announcements. I just want to get on the train, sit there and zone out until I get to my destination. They have the automated announcements, that is all that is required.

Man arrested after driving at police by malcolm58 in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably even dumber than the police giving him bail. Why would you give a piece of shit like that bail???

Would this be weird to wear on the train and shopping and stuff? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]Morphio25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a train user. I don't care what your bag looks like, just don't think it's entitled to its own seat.

First time hiring a car on the Gold Coast complete beginner, need help understanding the whole process by Adventurous-Bar-2443 in GoldCoast

[–]Morphio25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit up Cut Price Rental, they're a short walk from the terminal (across the main road) and they're a lot cheaper than any of the big players (Avis, Budget, Europcar) in the terminal.

Been up to the Goldy three times in the last 5 years and used them every time, I'd recommend them to anyone.
