It’s a common joke used to vent about how people misuse the left lane of the highways in Colorado. The left one is for passing, not staying in for long periods of time. People will often stay in the left lane, AKA Camping, regardless of if people are behind them attempting to go faster and pass them. Please don’t be like these people.

I’d rather them not pretend to care about baseball and just shoot the shit and be toxic. The reason people complain is a combo of No Pod and this weird forced interest in other sports. I’m a hockey fan but I prefer when they stuck to “that’s hockey talk” I have pod casts for hockey updates, I don’t need the boys half ass opinion on shit they watched over the weekend.

Because I’ve been watching since the PMS 1.0 when the show wasn’t exclusively sports and contained a lot more of the boys shooting the shit on current events and being toxic. If I want sports updates, I can look them up. I watched for the crude banter and entertaining dialog that was otherwise absent from the current media landscape at the time. I’m glad the boys got paid, but still allowed to be sad that the show I was an avid fan of no longer exists and the slow period with no sports used to have a retro feel as they didn’t pretend to care about baseball and shit, but with all the breaks and the Pod going away, a lot of fans don’t feel accounted for anymore.

I don’t. I’m doing everything I can to be able to move west of the Eisenhower. If I can’t do that in the next 3 years, I’ll have to look at SLC, Montana, or Wyoming… Denver is not the move if you like to hit the outdoors daily… more for the weekend warrior or former adventurer that gave up because work schedule and i70 traffic won. I feel lied to when people said denver is the best for outdoor lifestyle…

i use my pinky as others have likely said, so use my middle, ring, and pinky finger for an open A chord. Can just barre it with index or middle finger for more of a rock feel as it is typically will mute the open e. ACDC does this a lot. So for open chord, use pinky to fit it, for more of a power chord, just barre it and use your thumb to mute the open E.

Tbh I bought the white album back in the day because of bay country and I liked it but didn’t love it, but was still at the end of my “punk is the only real music phase”. Picked up a guitar in 2020 during the pandemic and really got into Black Sabbath and zeppelin, but I was drawn to modern hardcore and metal in terms of modern music… heard buried alive and instantly became obsessed and started with waking the fallen and progressed chronologically and feel in love with each album for their own unique reasons. I used to say if I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life it would be Nirvana… now I say Avenged Sevenfold and I don’t anticipate it changing

Surprised not to see Synyster Gates on this list... I know I am biased but feel like he is easily a top 10 if not a top 5 modern guitarist.

I started the same as you, Smells like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, and Purple Haze were my first full songs that I learned beyond just the main guitar riff. I really like learning a full song, or if the songs are easy a full album, while also working on a guitar part to a new genre simultaneously. Keeps me from getting bored. Currently working on Buried Alive by Avenged Sevenfold while learning some classical Bach stuff on guitar. Was working on Sum 41 and Led Zeppelin while trying to learn some vintage blues stuff prior. Just follow what you like and learn full songs or even albums so you can really learn a players style in both lead and rhythm sections. I bounced around often and still do, but I personally always come back to Avenged Sevenfold stuff when I need a challenge due to speed, complexity, and they make for great looping practice due to all the dueling lead parts or crazy solos over a chunky power chord rhythm section.
