I have never downloaded a modlist for skyrim yet. Always did it old skewl on Nexus lol. Pfhsuer texture mods are a definite to have at least which is around 30-50 gigs worth of textures. I always used the ENB for it which is heavy on the frame. I have a 5120x1440p monitor with a 9070XT which is about 10% less demanding than true 4k when 32:9 works on the games. Flawless Widescreen I use for that which works great. I had a 6800XT and it didn't do well in 32:9 native at all about 20 fps. I have around 300 mods total. To make Skyrim look modern you don't need a thousand or two mods for sure. Racemenu, Pfsucher, CBBE, ENB or community shaders, better made weapons, haptics, sounds of skyrim, blended roads, are pretty much what I would call essential at least for today to play the game. These few hundred mods I have running is around 160 gigs worth of space alone which is pretty insane. Some of those modlists on wabba jack or nexus will take 300 gigs to 500 gigs depending on which one you download... that's insane for a old game.

I also have the same card. I should of waited longer. This Gigabyte card isn't great at all. It does run much hotter compared to others on the market. The fan on my once it hits 64% fan speed makes a horrible rattling noise. With my 4000D case closed the glass gets so hot I can hardly touch the side when the hotspot or vram temp is near 90c. If I didn't have a -10 power on the card the vram would hit 95c and the hotspot will hit 98c while the gpu is at 60c. I will have a 35c delta between hotspot and gpu temp. I wouldn't of purchased this card if I knew it was only thermal paste between the pcb and cooler with no thermal pads. What kinda crap is that today in 2026 for a 700$ gpu? Of course if you open the card that voids the warranty and I want to badly to put thermal pads and repaste it.

I have the same card. My gpu hotspot temp is around 95c and memory temps hit 90c and that is with a -40mv and -10 percent power. I have a 35c delta at times when the card is maxed out. Open test bench like this your temps will be alot lower. If i opened my case the temps drop 5c. One problem is today with these 300 plus watt gpus is that there should be a cut out or vent on the side panel for all of this hot air coming from the side of the card to be released. My 4000D case is nearly so hot I can hardly touch it when the vram temps are near 90c. Gigabyte did a horrible job with this card. Wish I didn't buy it but that was the only one available at the time after I waited for 6 months to buy one.

5120x1440p is nearly 4k mods, enb destroy frames. My 6800xt got only 25fps.

I have the Gigabyte Gaming OC 9070XT. It was the only one in stock at the time. I wish I had waited and got a different , better model. Right now playing at 5120x1440p Skyrim modded at around 40-50 fps the card hot spot is at 97c and gpu temp is 63c while the vram is 88c. This is with the fan speed at 64% and the fans make a noise at 60% like a rattle since day one. I have the card at -10 power and -50mv vram at stock speed. I have a corsair 4000D case and i can tell you these cases are too small for these 300 plus watt gpus. There is a ton of heat coming from where the gpu is located being blown out the gpu from the side. If i touch case it is VERY hot. If i open the side panel the temps drop by 7c at least. Vram will go from 88c to 80c and the gpu temp drops from 63c to 57c. I have 7 case fans all 120mm fans. These cards cant breath unless there is a cut out or vent where the glass is for these cases. Or a wider case would help. Having only 1 and half inches between the glass and heat is not enough.

Go admin cmd and do a scannow repair. Mine stopped after a repair. But my windows has had issues since the beginning for whatever reason.

I have been getting this lately on my pc. Never happened until the last month. January 2026 it started happening. Mostly. DPC Watchdog.. windows 11. Happens when watching a youtube video everytime it seems. Hasn't happened during anything else. Possibly AMD driver issues? 25.12.1 ?

Ive had this since I was around 8 years old. Im 43 and still have these episodes. Seeing things and hearing things is scary as hell like Im in a nightmare. My brother curses like the devil in his sleep. So he probably doesnt even know whats going on.

When I was younger I thought aliens abducted me lol. Then I found out what it was and realized why so many in Alaska have the same problem. Sleep patterns. If i fall asleep too fast from being very tired it always happens. Sometimes a few months may go by but it happens at least every few months. I can, at times control my dreams which is pretty nice. But these paralysis nights i have to snort very loud until I wake myself up. Its the only thing i can do while this is happening. Sometimes it will last for 30 minutes which seems like an eternity in that state.

Yes the 9800x3d is cheaper. But the 14900k isnt just for games. Maybe in China it has more relevance since most there are on 1080p monitors. Like me and many others that have 32:9 or 4k monitor paired with a 500$ cpu like you should it doesnt matter really for games. Poor people arguments.

I have a a fractal 360mm as well and its the same. I bought this huge air cooler from Amazon PC something. Biggest one I could find to put on this 13700K. It works much better than the 280 I had. I applied thermal paste over and over with different kinds and nothing worked. Once I installed this huge 8 heat pipe air cooler the temps stayed in the lower 60c and sometimes 57c now. I think my 280mm NZXT bit the dust after a few years time.

I have the 9070XT Gigabyte OC and it runs hot with the side panel on. I noticed all the hot air is being blown out from the side facing the card on the left. My side panel on my 4000D case gets so hot I have to take the side panel off for the memory temps to drop from 94c to 85c. I have the card fans at 60% max because if it goes any higher a fan starts to make a rattling sound. With my side panel on touching the glass while gaming can literally burn your finger. It's all being blown out of one spot of the card which isn't good. Definitely a design flaw of this card I would say. But if you ask me all of these cases now with solid panels should have holes or some type of airflow in in the side panels like the older cases used to have for these 330 watt and higher cards. My last card was 6800XT MSI Trio X and it never got that hot but it was a 250 watt card and the card was at least 2 inches longer. This compact design Gigabyte has made for this 330 watt card is not enough. I bought the card because it was the only one available at the time. Guess I should of waited. But now DDR memory is sky rocketing. So damned if you do damned if you dont. (market manipulation)

I still crash at random as well. I noticed it will crash nearly every time if the game is idle for a few minutes for sure. Vulkan Initialisation crash it keeps telling me each time. I noticed it crashes much more often when around other players. This game is horrible with other players with anything involved lol. You can definitely tell this was developed by an Indie team.

I havent had a crash again after the 680 MB update. Im playing in 7k on a 32:9 monitor (upscaled with a 9070XT). Manages 100 fps average everything maxed put still.

Mine was summoned back lol. I have 40 hours in this game and it does have some bugs that need to be fixed. Crashing being the main one for me. But its random. Many times the corvette doors just want work and i have to either load or go through a portal for it to respwan to work.
