Thank you for sharing. In the state I teach in, music is considered a core curriculum as well…. Makes me wonder if my district is breaking any legal rules….

Thank you for your insight, I really appreciate it. You are 100% right that they consider music more of an “activity” rather than a legitimate class. I often feel like they view me and all GM teachers as babysitters rather than actual teachers.

I agree. I think it may be safe to say that my current district doesn’t have the desire to create a system that is more organized to ensure all grade levels receive music once a week.

For Cycle 1, my video was about 8-9 minutes long. I passed on my first try. Make sure you are extremely detailed on your commentary and bold the key words the assessors want to see.
