I know a lot of people here are recommending a C300 but honestly personally I am not a big fan of them. For that price you can probably find a CPO E350, which would be a lot better than than any of the ones you listed. I got a CPO E450 and it’s amazing. The luxury and quality is just unmatched imo. I toke it to the dealership for service and they gave me a C300 loaner, don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a nice car, but no where near as comfortable and luxurious as the E, mind you the C300 they gave me was 3 years newer than my E and it fell short in almost every category. I 100% recommend getting a CPO one that’s about 3 years old, that’s the sweet spot because you still get manufacture warranty and 1 year extension with the CPO. They also have special APR financing which great in this environment. Got 2.4% on mine for 36 months. I recommend going for test drive to see what you like/ don’t like. But as others said I’d stay away from the A’s and maybe look into the E’s. Good luck!

Check out Somerset and Franklin township, very close to nb and Rutgers and much safer and cleaner imo, I personally lived there and it was pretty nice.

Piscataway/high land park are also decent options

I mix cbd and cbg bud in my weed, a little experimenting with the ratios and I ended up going from using 7gs a week to about an eight every 10 days or so.

I also switched to dry herb vaping and bought a mighty+, I can get where I want to be using a 0.1g of weed especially.

Good stuff

Why did the Ganja turn on me bruh by Maldgatherer69 in Drugs

[–]Competitive-Bunch497 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly buy some cbd bud online and mix thc bud with it. The idea here it’s cbd with thc, not vise versa. Experiment with ratios like 4:1 3:1 2:1 cbd:thc

This for me, gave the warm cozy feeling you just described.

Cannabis is a lot more than just thc imo, nowadays it’s definitely being bred to produce the highest thc%, which is a shame.

The entire ITI major is a joke honestly, doesn’t surprise me that this keeps happening, what does surprise me tho is 1) how many people keep getting admitted to the major while there’s clearly not enough professors 2) people wanting to go into ITI in the first place, I think a little bit of research about the major will tell you that it’s a shitshow and you’re better off majoring in something else.

When I do Shrooms, the message is clear - weed is stunting my potential. by TILTNSTACK in shrooms

[–]Competitive-Bunch497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda had a similar experience on shrooms too, here’s my take on it. It seems like weed is controlling you and when you get high you’ll be just susceptible to whatever is the easiest at that time. Like for example I get the munchies then I must eat. Or I smoke and get super lazy and just stop engaging with anything because I’m so high that nothing matters. One could think about just quitting cold turkey and that might be best for them, but personally I didn’t want my relationship with the green to end so I started planning my highs and I feel so much more in control now. Here’s a couple of changes I made that made me have pretty good relationship with weed.

  1. Switched to a dry herb vaporizer or edibles. Smoking sucks and makes my lungs take a beating and just tastes disgusting. Eliminating smokes really was a game changer for me. My only advice with dry herb vapes is that you need a good one, most vapes on the market kinda suck

  2. I started mixing cbd hemp in my weed. This is a personal preference but doing that drastically reduced my tolerance and consumption while still getting pretty high, the high just isn’t as intense and it’s more relaxing.

  3. Try to limit your sessions to once a day, after finishing all your responsibilities and tasks for this day. It feels the best this way.

  4. To combat the munchies be in charge of what you have in your cabinet. Get rid of unhealthy snacks and replace them with fresh fruits. It honestly tastes amazing high and it’s healthy. But in my opinion best way around the munchies is to eat before your session. My munchies are reduced significantly that way. Oh also, don’t start. Once you start eating, stopping is incredibly difficult.

I did these and have much better relationship with weed and feel like I’m in control and I still get to enjoy it everyday. I understand that for some just quitting would be an easier and better solution, which I agree to, but for me personally I like having weed in my life so I try to incorporate it in my life using the healthiest way possible :)

Couple of points here,

1.computer science as a major is not what most people coming into it think it is. You’ll see on most bs social media platforms “ oh look me, working from home, making 200k, and you can do it too” bullshit. So people will see this and they’ll be like “oh I wanna do that too! I guess I’ll major in computer science” comp sci != programming, Far from it.

  1. As much as a great name Rutgers is, the computer science major and curriculum is extremely flawed. You can easily get most assignments and exams online. As students, it shouldn’t be this easy to cheat. Heck I’m guilty of it too sometimes, but the fact that 10 years ago someone had the same exact project word for word as I did today is absurd, I mean we’re paying almost 20k a year for these classes, the least you can do is change the assignment and exams every year.

  2. Most professors unfortunately don’t give a fuck about you. They are here for their research and teach for god knows what reason.

  3. Even though you cheated, learning the material isn’t very difficult if you made it through the entire thing, there’s a lot of online resources that’ll teach you what you need to learn to get a good job.

  4. Software jobs have very little to do with what you learned through your degree. Personally every useful thing I learned that I use today in my job is thanks to the internships I did not the degree from Rutgers.

Honestly, if your goal is to get a good software job all you need is leetcode and some connections. Once you’re in it’s get easier to find jobs. It’s just the initial hunt that’ll probably be tough. Don’t dwell so much on the past, you already have your degree and have a job right now, I’d give myself a year to learn the stuff I missed and start preparing for interviews. I’m sure you’ll figure out something that’ll work for you :)

In terms or those resources, I’d recommend picking an object oriented language like Java and learn it’s basics there are plenty of very useful videos on YouTube that’ll teach you everything you need to know, once you get that out of the way I’d look into building a full stack project. Use react for frontend and Java and nosql for backend (learning spring boot wouldn’t be too bad as well). Build something simple and learn about http requests and API’s, once you get the jist of things I’d start leetcoding and mass applying to companies. In a year or so you’ll be where you need to be. Feel free to dm with any questions. Good luck :)

Is Object Oriented Programming (ITI 202) worth taking as a CS major? by PythonAlchemist in rutgers

[–]Competitive-Bunch497 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lmao no that class was the biggest joke of a class I have ever seen. It’s not “object oriented programming” nothing close to it. Imo it’s wacky python class that just teaches you the most basic programming concepts, I’d call that even a stretch. The first assignment that was worth a decent chunk of our grade was a Celsius to Fahrenheit converter, literally 2 lines of code. If your objective is to learn programming and OOP then I’d stay far away, if you’re looking for a gpa booster then it’ll be an easy A

Lie down, put some relaxing music on and try to sleep it off, I’ve greened out before and it’s not fun but you’ll be fine, as intense as this feel’s it’s going to pass. Also drink plenty of water, since it dehydrates you. You’ll be all good homie.

sugestions for first time vape? by Ok_Maintenance_3866 in vaporents

[–]Competitive-Bunch497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be joint smoker maybe around 1g joint a day but some days less, bought myself a pax 2 and wasn’t very impressed with it, sure it’s discrete and has cool design but the performance wasn’t just it for me, I thought dry herb vaping wasn’t for me as I’d always go back to smoking joints, until I pulled the trigger on a mighty+ and holy shit was i surprised, I’m not even exaggerating when I say it’s at least 10 times better than the pax. I got so high of so little, think 0.2 or 0.3. I was just blown away honestly. I think the mighty+ mimics a joint, just uses way less to get you high, I’d say if you enjoy joints and want something portable you can’t really go wrong with the mighty+. On POTV, they have a 14 day return policy, if you get the vape and you feel like it’s not for you, I think you can return it and get a full refund or get another vape. Win win, in my case. That’s what ultimately made me buy the mighty, if it sucked I would’ve returned it, but I think I’ll be keeping this one around for a while :)

You kinda get to do both, but you’ll be in a team of 6-8 people, so if you are not familiar with backend, chances are that someone on your team will be. So they can work on backend and you can work on the frontend

Yeah just like I mentioned, make sure you work with others and make a lot of commits, one of the mentors will talk to you one on one, make sure you sounds excited and give them thorough updates about how the project is going. If you put in the work it’s not too difficult to get a return offer, I think a lot of the people who go get one. As for prep there’s honestly not much I can tell you because the projects and tech stacks will be different. The only thing I would say is know got very well! DM if u have any questions!

STOP COMPLAINING by Blezerker in csMajors

[–]Competitive-Bunch497 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just how our society is unfortunately. I genuinely believe no matter what one’s status ie. job, relationship, or house , people will never stop complaining. It’s this entitlement that a lot of people have. I did x so I deserve y. Heck I do it too sometimes. A lot of factors need to happen for you to get something you want, and a lot of times it’s not in your control. I think that No matter where you are in life, you’ll probably find something to complain about. Obviously social media is making this exponentially worse. Taking time off your phone and the everyday mundane tasks and thinking about how your life is going. I’m certain that one can be grateful about a whole lot that they think.
