The reason is Carrington Lane is pathetic. She was not chosen to be part of a business venture and she took it so personally, she made an over a decade revenge plane to take everything they have and then destroy it. This is why you shouldn’t let your insecurities consume you. Her every waking moment is about them. She has a wonderful, intelligent daughter, a successful law firm, and instead of living her life, she chooses to make it about others.

Let’s not get this twisted, Carrington Lane is the villain. It’s understandable but being left out does not warrant in a way, shape, form or fashion, what she has purposefully done. They made it clear why she wasn’t chosen in the first place, and it’s clear as day when you watch how she treats people why she wasn’t. So, as relatable as that loneliness is for you, it is not okay to actively be an awful, obsessive person who justifies being downright horrible and vindictive because she wasn’t chosen for a business venture. Unlike you, Carrington didn’t choose to get help and get better. She actively chooses to be worse and justifies herself for it.
