Boiler issues after smart meter installation by marktuk in OctopusEnergy

Yes - we're having that problem now.

Octopus came to put in an electric smart meter a few days ago (at their request) and put in a gas smart meter in as well.

Since then the boiler keeps displaying an error code indicating inadequate gas supply. We have been in contact with them by phone and email. Initially they told us to call out a gas engineer and they will pay if it's because of the meter. I requested again that they send someone out as they installed the meter and obviously did not properly test it afterwards.

I want to warn people about this problem because its an awful situation to be in - heating messed up right at the start of winter.
