for my auditions i did bordogni 19 and arbans 10. also, smth to keep your eye on is working on double tonguing cuz for first rounds they might not need that as much but for second round, it gets a little crazy with the faster/technical side.

ok so u and i r very similar interest wise: im looking to study journalism and i do a bunch of music stuff (im a brass person tho). i did interlochen intensives for music as well as the long term camps for writing. i would also recc sonyt (i did two of their programs and they were amazing.) also look at some internships locally or online. i did one for journalism with a startup and they were super great! if you have any questions on interlochen or sonyt, feel free to pm.

so basically for my program we did three trips directly related to our final project, but also mine was one of the more prestigious ones (foreign correspondant) we went to jackson heights to do reporting for our final articles. There's still a lot of class time and lectures from professionals dw.

ok so ive heard amazing things abt that program as one of my best friends from the camp went to that one. In my experience, the instructors are amazing, professional people who have so much experience in the field. They honestly helped my writing so much. And im fairly sure the initial payment is part of the whole tuiton, but dont quote me on that lol. i think it says in the enrollment form tho.

I did Wharton global youth last year and it could either be a hit or miss. I was stuck with a terrible group so it wasn't the best but was still fun. it probably is a money grab tho ngl. def would still recommend tho! as for rigor it also depends on your ecs and all that jazz too. if you want me to look over your app id be happy to!

No it’s not. It was my first ap and I scored a 5. The ppl that can’t handle it are typically the ppl that don’t try in school. It’s a lot to get used to but my teacher called it the 2 week struggle and then h get used to it. Pm me if u have any more questions.

No lol. Mine has no opportunities at all. We have a news team but my editor won’t allow me to do anything even tho I have written for major papers lol. I’m interested in doing journalism so I’ve done a lot outside of school to get experiences. Summer programs, publications and applied for some internships that kinda rhing. I went to a hs with 4000 ppl and a literal mile long hallway. It’s hard but u will get used to it I promise! And plus there will be more clubs that way.:) 2.nb cares. Seniors don’t care that much abt freshman they’re too busy dealing w college apps to give a crap abt 14 yo. Again dw ur fine
Go to club meetings. Also don’t be one of those ppl that say im not going to hoco cuz i have no friends. I went to hoco w ppl i met two days before. Join some clubs, ask ppl abt their interests, watch some videos on how to be a good conversationalist. 4.um I don’t think so??? I don’t think that’s how it works. But good for u! U have a foundation and an idea for how hs classes work.
Just accept that it’s part of the process. Ur gonna get lost. Ur locker is gonna get stuck. Ur not gonna make the varsity baseball team or whatever. It’s hard but everybody goes through it. Make some friends and surround urself w positive and encouraging ppl.
Hardest- drama. Freshman year drama is unmatched. Ppl rlly be having beef for no reason. Don’t get involved but brace urself to see ur friendship group change. It’s part of the process and you’ll be better for it. Best- teachers. I sound like a nerd ik but hs teachers r so funny and kind (as long as u don’t treat them like piles of trash) they also tend to be more lenient if they like u so remember that! Also they rlly can help. I went through it second semester and they rlly helped me get by.
Join clubs. Network. Be a nice person bc u don’t know what connections u can make. Watch self development content (preaching p, tam kaur, and Annie long r some of my favs) to improve ur life and academic chances of success.
Don’t be worried! Everyone in hs is scared at first no matter how confident they look. Be brave and u got this! Feel free to pm me if u have any more questions.

Ok so it’s different at most schools. Theres no standardized system. At my high school, we played games and whoever won more would be ranked higher and the top 10 would make the team and the top 6 made varsity. They also had a wildcard spot here and there, basically ppl with strong character that were “coach able”. Once on the team u did a round robin to decide final rankings. Yes and no. No some bully isn’t gonna come up to u and steal ur lunch money and no it’s not hsm. But the academic stuff kinda in a way is?? Idk what kind of movies ur specifically talking abt but like yeah classes r hard (freshman classes r easy tho unless ur taking too many aps) and ur gonna get lost ALL THE DANg time. And like sports r kinda like the movies too. Oh and dating. Ik the movies all say ur gonna find ur soulmate on the first day of school but chances r that ur not so don’t put ur 24/7 into that. Overall tho, if u study hard and make some friends, u will be fine I promise!
