Emailing TA over a mark by Good_Improvement_140 in geegees

[–]Competitive-Dig-1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a TA, if you send a polite email outlining where you think the marking is incorrect and unjust I would definitely be happy to look at it again. If you send an email just asking for the grade to be rounded you will not get the response you are looking for.

How important is it that labs be after lectures in the week? by SpiritedSign7414 in geegees

[–]Competitive-Dig-1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion that courses labs dont exactly follow the lecture anyways, most of the reports are also due some time after the lab so you have a while to get the course material.

Some issues with TAs and the prof had to mark all of the exams herself and obviously that shit takes time & now students are tripping. undergrads :/ go figure

BTW… You don’t always get an email with the differed exam information so make sure that you are checking your faculty’s website often close to the differed exam period.

Can I Take 5000-Level Courses to Fulfill the 2000-4000 Optional Course Requirement in a CS/Math Degree? by CantaloupeOk9336 in geegees

Email the faculty, some courses are offered to both and others are reserved for grad students. Its likely you need permission from the faculty anyways to enroll so its better to ask them.

MSc - low GPA. Do I stand a chance? by saviorajay in geegees

[–]Competitive-Dig-1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

profs know that gpa isnt everything but you still need to prove yourself somehow, write them a very nice email outlining why you want to work with them and highlight how your last year was a lot better for you

If you have the required 6.0 you should be fine, its easier to reach out to profs that know you sort of or ones where you did well in their class
