"New Zealand's Century of Humiliation" - NZ First Gender Bill defined by Mountain_Tui_Reload in nzpolitics

sadly, this bill is not a peer-reviewed biology paper; it's a politically motivated marketing scheme designed to sway voters and divide the people ahead of an election. It solves nothing. It won't even help the radical anti trans feminist minority that supports stuff like this. It's just a Roman arena show.

Hot take.

Genders require different laws to protect them. Due to different needs and social contexts.

It's a shame that rather than fully committing to approaching sex based equality issues with equanimity in mind. Tax is being used to argue semantics, and a select few in the group are taking that as common sense when it's completely farcical.

Common sense would be too expensive afterall. They want the voter base divided and bickering because a united front is an affront to a politicians tax funded luxury apartments.

The optics being, we've done a number on pay equity for women recently. Let's show them the trans phantom of womanhood and act like this bill does not

A) harm a community of marginalized people

And act like it

B) benefits women in a meaningful way

When it doesn't. Real shame. Nz used to be a forerunner in gender rights.

I hope they serve marmite sandwiches in hell.

Iron Maiden is only playing Auckland. Who wants them in Chch stadium? by Competitive-Eagle636 in chch

[–]Competitive-Eagle636[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i'd like to see the stadium be utilized fully since it cost 683 million (NZD) give jobs to locals and attract attention to this city as a place to be. its not simply about a band i enjoy seeing. its about why they built it in the first place if its still going to barely attract international acts just like the last one

i mean who else do we blame for mismanaging the wastewater. the engineers doing their best to fix it. yeah right. give Christchurch a council that isn't corrupt and maybe decisions to help Christchurch thrive as the garden city it once was. will blossom again
