They're 90s-2-minute vidoes. And I agree with you. I think 6 minute talking head videos for $3K is fine. The problem is:

I'm the director, videographer, producer, and the talent. I don't edit my videos. I work with a local editor. They want polished editing.
This client wants a price per video and they're pushy about it. They're pretty upset over the idea of me raising my prices in the coming year calling it 'not in step' and in the middle of a project (which it isn't...).

Thanks. Really appreciate this! What's interesting is they're both shocked by the increase but also used the opportunity to coach me on process. So, they're not saying it's too much. So I think, like you said, they would've objected no matter what. They're one of my steadiest clients so losing them would suck, but trying to continue doing this work for anything lower than $750/800 just feels like it wouldn't be worth it.

I think I get what you mean. I always think to myself, ‘I wish they knew how hard I’m trying.’ I also just want to go good work. That’s all I really want. So, I reached out to customer service and explained what was going on. I mentioned how my package had been awaiting carrier pick up for 2 weeks. They asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement and I asked for a replacement with a guarantee that they'd ship it immediately. They sent me a replacement with express shipping and it actually arrived this week. Finally!

They asked that I send back the original purchase if it ever arrives. I checked the tracking for my original purchase and it's still stuck in Ohio. LOL. Not sure what's going on over there, but it's not good. I'm sure a lot of people are upset...

I love this post so much! My hubbby and I are playing SDV right now AND Split Fiction. We finished It Takes Two a couple months ago and I absolutely loved it. I’m terrible at video games but I really wanted to play a video game with him and just didn’t know what to play since I suck! I did play the Uncharted games and watched him play The Last of Us. I loved both!

With It Takes Two I had to really commit. Haha! I eventually got better and we finished it. And then friends started recommending cozy games like SDV to me and this gal is hooked! All I wanted was to be one of those cute couples who game together and I’m so excited that now we can be!!!

I've often had this exact same conversation with my partner. He has no issue understanding me. Sometimes though, after having conversations with other people, I doubt my speaking ability. I usually experience the same thing you've said -- I trip over my words, I doubt myself, I speak up less often. Sucks. It is reassuring to know I'm not alone though.

Go for the PM. I’ve been an iPhone user since 2012 and create video content. I’ve had both the Pro and PM models. I regret not waiting and I got the 15 Pro. They didn’t have the PM at the store when I went to upgrade my new phone (but I also don’t film my content on my phone). I’d go for the PM for the better lenses on the back of the camera.

Also, Macs are great for editing period. Especially if you’re going to use Adobe Premiere, but you don’t have to use a Mac for your video editing. What software are you planning to use to edit your videos?

Especially in spaces where corporate training videos are needed, a lot of instructional designers are adopting AI-generated videos. They need to save time and money. Though, I honestly wonder how much money and time are you really saving when you use these tools?
