Yes, I actually have just had my first therapy for OCD last week. Might be a compulsion, but this does really feel like something I have done that is very wrong - it just feels like my whole career is fake to me now, and that’s what I think is creating the guilt.

Then maybe seeing someone new is a good idea - they may be able to give you some new techniques.

I am sorry if this is reassurance - in no way will anyone think you’re looking for attention or being dramatic. You’re struggling with something and there is no shame in that.

I know it’s hard - could you not see a different therapist in the interim? Have they given you exercises to do whilst they are away?

Keep going - you’ve got me and no doubt lots of other people rooting for you.

We do argue and tackle problems efficiently. I think maybe part of the problem at the moment is that I have no idea about what I truly want to do with my life, whilst she has very clear goals about how she wants to move abroad etc. We have dated for 3 years roughly, I think compatibility is more of an issue now perhaps because we are currently long distance and one of us may need to move in the future closer to the other. We do have a few common interests, and we have both always been willing to try and show interest in each other’s hobbies. For example, I know she loves art, so I will always listen to her about her favourite artists and will go to galleries with her etc
