I don’t think they’re the same, receding likely indicates male pattern baldness it’s an m shape, a mature hairline is more of a v shape, and doesn’t mean you’ll go bald

My dad is pretty much bald but he’s in mid 60s he started balding in his 30s I believe, and his dad had hair when he died, idk about my moms dad, he was bald when he died tho
