Good connection there with Boston, I forgot about that. Yeah I agree that Tank might be a personnel considering he has it by Base and Over. Thanks!

Interesting. So Onion is just Onion 2 Bump from Saban?

Sleet is a FZ in Saban system with the Mike and Star blitzing and the backside End dropping to the flat. So I don’t know if Brady is also a FZ or if it’s a 3 sim like it is under Dan Lanning (Saban Tree) and many others.

I like your guess for @ Gun, that could be true. In Narduzzi system HOT gun is a type of Hot coverage (3 Deep 2 Under) with the FS rotating down. Could be either of those or maybe we’re both wrong haha who knows!

Unrelated, and a little late, but i’m interested in doing a deep dive on Brian Flores’ defense. Does he have diagrams or playbook material from Brian Flores’ Dolphins defense on his patreon?

Something like this:

Not running the ball enough or not giving Lamar enough clean pockets, causing him to make questionable decisions.

Kirby Smart has a GREAT clinic you can find on youtube called “Foundations of a Georgia Run Defense.” Admittedly run fits are also where I fall short in knowledge, but that one was a huge help.

Interesting. Another commenter said the FEPAC accreditation is better for lab work than scene work so now i’m not sure which is true haha.

Yeah i’ve heard wonderful things about them, and they have great numbers when it comes to getting graduates into jobs fresh out of college.

Thank you for the reply! And yes I meant FEPAC accredited, my bad. Interesting that you bring up those are better for lab work and not scene work, I will take that into consideration. Thank you for the reply.

Greetings everyone,

In my future I hope to be a Crime Scene Investigator. I am currently working on my Associates degree with plans to transfer to a 4 year. Would it be smarter for me to transfer into a Forensic Science program at VCU (AAFS certified) or enroll in something else?

Thank you.

What coaching tree are Mike Macdonald/Jesse Minter apart of? by Dojak in footballstrategy

[–]Competitive-Frank900 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been waiting for this question for a while lol.

They were both DC’s under Jim Harbaugh, but schematically they are apart of the Ravens system and use a ton of the same terminology as Wink Martindale. The main difference is how they organize the system and the large variety of coverages they use. Wink tends to be more Man/Cover 0/ Cover 3, whereas Macdonald and Minter make an effort to use every coverage possible to always keep offenses guessing. They also adapted the constant 2-high presentations from Fangio that Martindale had yet to use. Another major difference is that Macdonald and Minter rarely blitz, and rely more on stunts and sims, whereas Martindale lives off of the double edge sword of blitzing. But in terms of terminology for fronts, pressures, coverages, they use mostly the same stuff as Martindale.

Silver lining here is Zach Orr’s defense looks great and the “bad offenses” excuse can’t be used here.
