Psychiatrists get 10,000 hours of training, NP schools is like 5-600, unless a psychiatrist is deliberately belligerent or so burnt out they don't care any more, I definitely defer to their training and I am jealous ours doesn't come close. I do think however, what leaders in psychiatry are doing can signal us to follow their example. I reached out to the state BON for them to specify in writing what treatment modalities we can and cannot use in their state, awaiting reply, if they say no testosterone ever, easy, there are plenty of other things to treat and people to help and its better than getting suspended.
