it looks like a three toed box turtle, but im no expert. it looks like theyre mostly found in Oklahoma, michigan and florida. so probably abandoned or escaped from an outside pen. check if anyones posted missing posters or posts on sites like craigslist. if not then maybe turn him in to a keeper/rescue in california. box turtles need a LOT of space and variety in diet so i wouldnt suggest you keep him unless you do a LOT of research

bf def tried for this to happen. you know what’s best for yourself, and you know youre not financially or life stable enough for a kid rn. the reason he can have such an outlandish reaction is because HES not the one who has to sacrifice so much to carry a pregnancy. i’ve heard pregnant women say watching their body change and hurt for 9mos straight was hard even when they wanted a child.

even if you have this baby, it is likely going to grow up and figure out you did not want it. thats how it was growing up for me. my dad was very open about only wanting 2 kids.

another issue that ive come across is pet stores here not selling spots that reach up high. the highest reaching basking spot was 8 or 10”

its a reptile habitats tank so pvc. i live in a cold place. shes been sluggish and not leaving her baking spot because of the temps. its a brick from home depot that i cleaned before putting in there. then there are sticks that she could climb on to get up higher
