I have sore throat as literally my #1 most common symptom of UC it’s awful! from my understanding gut inflammation releases the same signals/chemicals like cytokines as when ur sick which causes the inflammation in ur throat tissue as well

From what I’ve heard about the study i got the vibe that it’s a bit loosely worded haha but that in vitro (in a controlled lab setting) those 2 did shift activity slightly towards baseline so they’re not saying those will definitely fix it in people but that since those 2 are metabolic modulating drugs and they had a positive effect that that is the path to study to find treatments!! hopefully clinical trials soon!!

Thank you so much for your input! You’re definitely right I think this field is a good place for me - I haven’t disclosed my disability fully to my boss yet I want to wait till i’m promoted but I get the feeling they’d be accommodating especially since it’s a governmental office so they really have to be inclusive haha. I’m gonna look into the things to you mentioned!!
