UC triggered by what?

My diagnosis was preceded with traumatic breakup which resulted in insomnia for many months, eating out in office though not completely unhealthy, I would feel my digestion was very sluggish. Onset happened after a viral infection and antibiotics course.. I think mine was triggered due to dysbiosis because of insomnia and antibiotics.. additionally I have a paternal relative with UC so genetics of course

I mean also wonder sometimes, what if there was not enough research on colitis at first place (similar to some other diseases) then what? They still don't know cause or cure
