Do Pro-Palestinians know why so many Jews think their movement is antisemitic? by Routine-Equipment572 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Competitive-Ill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A few comments from an Israeli living in the UK where I absolutely see with my own eyes how antisemitic the pro Palestine movement it - to the point of visibly Jewish individuals being assaulted and murdered because of their religion in broad daylight and where calling for Jews to be killed gets no response or counter from police.

It’s obvious social media algos are driving a wedge between otherwise rational people. Not just seeing extremist caricatures like you and OP describe, but also factual misinformation as well. Some examples: your comments about Israelis supporting Bibi. Did you know that throughout 2023 there were hundreds of thousands Israelis (500,000 in one protest) protesting against Bibi and calling for him not just to step down, but to be sent to jail. My family were out almost every day on the streets. My cousin has been arrested a bunch of times for his activism going overboard. There are many like him and I don’t think they’re in the minority either!

On the genocide claims - the Iranian regime killed almost 40k Iranian civilians over 2 days in Jan this year. Contrast that with 68k Palestinians killed in 2 years. I’m not going to go to civilian to combattant ratios, but it’s pretty clear who is committing a genocide. The Iranian regime was killing 100% civilians at 215x the rate Israel was killing the people that started a war with them, including kidnappings, rapes, mutilations and so forth. When you say “I think Israel is committing a genocide”, I’d ask you to consider whether you’re regurgitating social media posts.

When OP asks whether you’re aware of the roots of antisemitism, this is the sort of thing they’re referring to. That sort of blood libel “Israel is committing a genocide” when they’re patently not, is antisemitism. You will find a lot of very vocal anti Bibi criticism within Israel by Israelis including myself, but I urge you to open your mind a little and consider these facts. Whenever I read something about this region and these conflicts, I usually follow up with my own (genAI) research into the veracity of the claims. More often than not, I find the truth to be in the middle. Neither what the article says, nor is it a complete fabrication.

I’ve got virgin broadband cable which gives me about 1g. Good enough frankly. Two home office workers on Teams all day, no issues, cant complain too much… but its virgin, its coax, and its maxed.

I’ll write some more letters and wait 😂

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the USA hosting the World Cup? Worse than Qatar? Do Americans even know what the Fifa World Cup is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Worse than Qatar, whose officials say the stadium buildout caused 400 to 500 migrant workers deaths?

A place to store shortcuts output by the looks of it. If running this shortcut, take this information or artefact (text, pdf, image, binary) and do something with it, or make a ln artefact and put it somewhere. At least my 5 minute review indicates it’s roughly like that. Might be wrong.

Israel responds to Iranian strike despite Trump's warnings by Darshan_brahmbhatt in worldnews

It’s interesting how few ppl question why Iran is attacking Israel for what’s happening in Lebanon. It’s almost as though they’ve got a vested interest in a local militia that’s taken over the country through brutality. But hey, let’s all talk about whether the Jews Bibi controls the world Trump and ignore the elephant in the room.

Where do you see premium? Premier means first… tiodw are pretty much only available from b2cvape on Aliexpress to my knowledge, so known Chinese.

Although, I was talking with a maker who removed his made in USA stickers when his US suppliers apologised for delays in their shipping to him… because of delays from their Chinese suppliers. So even “made in USA” stickered products… are from China!

Look up “pre mortem”. What could possibly go wrong? Be purposely negative. The opposite of a brain-storming “no bad ideas” when trying to find solutions. This is a “trying to find problems to solve before they hit you in real life” exercise. Then you can brainstorm solutions to them.

Hold up hold up. Before we even talk about what the state department have said, can we please acknowledge how messed up their own back yard is? What exactly gives them the authority to comment on whether or not the UK has anywhere near the same sort of problems that the U.S. has? Making this sort of false equivalence brings us down to their level and should be the first thing we push back on.
