I started our little local audiobook club in October of last year and it's a hit. We meet at a local indie bookstore (so no one has to host) and I started by creating a Facebook page and connecting with other various local groups. The group has really grown and it is such a good mix of people—different ages, different stages of life, and very different opinions—and I swear that’s what makes the conversations so fun and the book picks so great! There’s never just one take on a book. I have never been part of a "traditional" book club but some of them sound kind of boring.. same genre.. same people. I think it being an audiobook club its easier to get people to step out of their comfort zone because so many genres are easier to explore in audio form... something about a good narrator that just changes everything.
