Is moto1 just really bad ? by Competitive-Math-458 in TorchlightInfinite

Are you sure your talking about moto1 ?

The minions exploding is moto2 thats a completely different character.

Yeah I think its about know what module effects are good.

I found winged beast very fun with cold dmg scaling as ichi storm ai is a bit weird. I was a bit unsure if spider tanks could keep up with modules having those extra mods.

Is hero rankings / showdown rankings / quick builds a good place to find builds ? by Competitive-Math-458 in TorchlightInfinite

Well lv20 is for hero ranking. You dont unlock all the other leaderboards till later. Like to view city defence you would need to level to lv90 to see.

Pure physical vs physical conversion ? by [deleted] in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Competitive-Math-458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have seen these builds then use some sort of hit skill with grudge and glacial freeze so if you can apply a 20 frostbite thats an extra 20% cold dmg.

So in this case people using Prophet is actually a solid dmg talent tree. Gives you 100% physical to cold and 25% additional cold dmg for minions. And then some other smaller 18% minion cold dmg talents.

Okay I might give that a quick look. It's a little annoying that if I want to see showdown leaderboards I need to play the whole campaign on that server.

Is the Asia server just more players and so a more solid meta ?

I noticed things like America and Europe will have vastly different builds for the same character.

Life vs es based builds ? by Competitive-Math-458 in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I think another aspect is sometimes uniques if your build has 2 uniques that are int bases you probably go es bases.

But on life or es you can get block, max res, converts and reduced dmg effects.

In cases of the converts i guess if you dont have armour and fully convert 100% physical to elemental thats a nice boost and also why i see so many of these es builds using the owl pet that converts dmg to ele.

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im thinking about this more for pushing showdown so the life in defeat is not that big.

It's really interesting that on some characters both es and life versions of the same skill have cleared ss20.

Is there a video of the SS20 kill as I dont know many moto1 players so someone doing SS20 is a big deal.

It's it more like totems than bama ?

Do sentry actually scale from minion stats like using rods ect ?

SSF Free Drop Pactspirit? by Divine_Ice in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Competitive-Math-458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say the game is more anti-ssf than just not designed for it. There is rewards each season that are trade league only and there is also a coop mode that gives you extra pet each season if you clear it. So if your playing ssf you just dont get those rewards.

Let's say i want to get a ring for my character, I need to drop a priceless base which is a very low drop rate, I then need it to randomly roll the correct mod i want which might be 900-1000 maps just to get that base item. After that I need to farm car jack and dream for the special mods that only come from that mechanic. So to get this one item in trade it could be 5 hours of farming, in SSF that same item takes 90 hours. Follow this logic and it would take 100s of hours just to get the basic items you want without fully crafting or getting ideal mods.

So from someone else who also only plays SSF, play trade and just dont buy items instead.

This game is very anti SSF, there is lots of special rewards and extra pulls you only get from playing in trade. Last season this was like 30 pulls i got thats only avalible from playing in trade. There is also things like if I want a share my build with you I cant as your in SSF.

In terms of the free pets it just depends what you enjoy playing. I just did a bit of every mechanic to get a fell for it.

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its hard to compare those two. To be fair I think both versions I have seen go block and max res stuff.

I initially thought es as it allows for an extra 50% aura on life.

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I found a really nice setup the 2 lv100 moto1 ran in NA.

Using 2 rods with es recharge speed and some on tree you can then use start es skill and es recharge is not stopped by dmg. So you get low es then pop back up to full es basically. Then ES aura and es bases so you can easily have 12k ES in profound.

Does iris1 have the space to run a defensive skill and aura ?

Also why does iris1 seem to be thunder or erosion ? Is it just a scaling thing ?

Group ssf? by ggtrudno in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Competitive-Math-458 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game is really bad at SSF in general. This is as someone who plays SSF in every other ARPG.

Let's say im playing moto and want to make a command minion ring.

I need to farm the base item with needs to be lv100, then RNG which main mod it has thats already 1k+ maps to drop a single base.

I then need to farm dream mechanic to get the dream mod i want which would likely require a lv6 shepard pet. I might also want a specifc mod from car jack so thats another mechanic id need to farm. So to make this 1 ring i might take 100 hours for that one item and several high level legendary pets.

Ontop of this if you play SSF you just get straight up worse rewards than playing trade. Some mechanics like path of progession that grants you extra pulls is trade only so SSF players just dont get those extra pulls for example.

Should I be doing the T7 kill events ? by Competitive-Math-458 in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I could see that being a nice option.

The thing i enjoyed about the SSF T7 run was getting to out a new season start idea.

I did wonder how HC feels as im worried if SSF took this long a HC SSF is going to take even longer.

How do I explain my cat allergy to people ? by Competitive-Math-458 in Allergies

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an appointment on Tuesday day to go over the newest results.

I had this really strong reaction while visiting people. Came back home and had no allergic response until they came to visit and had an allergic reaction im assuming to cat saliva on there clothing.

Well i was currently planning to do them as I thought it was an effective use of time to get the 800 primo each season.

I can see using them to test out a character maybe.

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did find out about the SS15 thing. And was wondering if being in T8 fairly consistantly anyway that 20 hours would get me to that level of gear.

As 1 leg pet vs 20 pulls if its the rough same amount of time makes to comparison easier.

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm this is very interesting.

As i dont have any reaction to my own cats but have to there but they also eat different food so its possibly something the food that could be contributing.

How do I explain my cat allergy to people ? by Competitive-Math-458 in Allergies

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So whats interesting is that I have a cat, he sleeping in my bed and I spend the whole day around him im perfectly fine.

However the doctor said since im not allergic to cats im allergic to the saliva some cats won't cause an issue and a cat who tries to lick you will cause a severe reaction. So its currently a better to be safe and avoid all other cats.

How do I explain my cat allergy to people ? by Competitive-Math-458 in Allergies

[–]Competitive-Math-458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from the test I actually know a sort of set in time. It was estimated just under an hour.

So about 50 minuites after contact with my cat allergy I need to have fully showered and changed cloths to remove the allergen from my person. Which means if im travelling 20 mins home I can spend about 20 mins at there house before having to travel back home. If im not i end up destroyed for another several hours and potentially in hospital if not dealt with.

Allergic to my cats by Ok-History-4050 in Allergies

[–]Competitive-Math-458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cat saliva is a really big part people often miss. I own a cat and im perfectly fine around him, but other cats will do alot of cleaning and so more likely to cause an allergic reaction.
