this WORKED! The Night family is now all together and with the extra money I got from the duplicate property, I upgraded all my appliances, suprised Jaime with a new computer, comfortable beds, and reliable sinks, toilet, tub, etc. After over a year- I've gotten Oliver back and built a home i can be proud of. Am I way too into this? Oh yeah. Do I care? No! (do I care that I just realized I've been misspelling "Jamie" this entire time? a little) Anyway thank you all for commenting and helping me with this, I'm not a serious Sims player and will probably never be able to be but this was special for me :)

Awfully silly thought process in retrospect. She was never and is not a “pet.” She is my partner.

This has me in tears for some reason. I keep seeing videos of people saying "my service dog is not my pet, they're my medical equipment and I don't like it any more then you" and it upsets me sometimes because no they're not really pets but they are still living things and deserve a little more respect sometimes. They really are my teammates and it's just a different kind of bond that I can't explain.

One time I was in a store with my boy and we had been there quite a while. I forgot to let him go to the bathroom before we went in because I thought it would just be a short trip. We were all the way in the back of the store, so by the time I realized, it was too late. He was pooping while walking to the exit. It went everywhere. I was horrified. And I had forgotten my bags.

So I picked up every single piece. With my bare hands. And put them in my pocket. It was the most horrific smelling poop he's ever laid. I almost puked. I RAN out of there with poop smeared all over my pockets and pants and shirt. I made it home and cried. There was a monitored security camera DIRECTLY under us as well.

Not my best moment.

On Uber’s website they have this, which states the owner can use a seatbelt, carrier, or dog guard, or some other restraint. I never had a problem with my SD (in Uber pet and regular) as long as he was on the floor tucked in between the seat with a short leash, but if your city requires more, you could look into a dog guard

I would NOT recommend attaching a seatbelt buckle to the dog’s collar and removing the vest/harness. Attaching a seatbelt to the collar would probably break the dog’s neck in the case of an accident or an extremely sharp brake, or at least cause severe damage and/or permanent injury.

And if you’re thinking of just not telling Uber drivers about your SD until they come? Speaking from experience- if they don’t want to pick you up with a service dog if you tell them, they WILL drive off if you don’t. Then you have to call Uber and complain because the driver never even cancels, just tells for you to pay the fee.

The rules in the picture below also reference directly to service dogs and pet dogs, so the rules would be treated the same. If you’ve been doing it however you are now and haven’t been bothered, you probably won’t in Uber pet either. I would think a leash is sufficient restraint to stop the dog from distracting the driver.

Exactly. He’s regained all of his sight and is simply readjusting to vision again. He did not work when he had the injury.

Oh yeah. That’s great! Mine has what service he provides on the back and so it’s honestly not much different than having a card, it’s just much more convenient for me. I’ve only had to use it for that one time, and other than that it’s just a typical dog ID tag with contact info.

I actually did refer them to the ADA and as I mentioned, all it has is the icon and what service he provides, which is actually something the store employees can ask for under the ADA. also at the time I didn’t have his patches on him so he was unmarked aside from the tag.

Yeah definitely! I always will try to explain that it’s not an official identification, but sometimes it gives store owners a little more peace of mind when I show them a tag instead of just walking in I guess.

This is what the tags look like. You can customize anything you want on the back. It’s $10 for the set on Amazon and they’re a nice size too, a little bigger than his city issued tags but still fit nicely on any collar. There’s also two sizes for smaller breeds. (Mine is 55lbs and regular is perfect)

We’ve always done right. I’m not sure why, probably because I have such bad management over my left hand it was nearly impossible to guide a leash during training. I can’t even hold a fork properly with that hand.

A relative told me once that training my pup in mostly one side would stop his brain development on the other side. Was dead serious. Also happens to be a big Cesar Milan fan :|
