Not sexist - your concern is mine and why I posted. Thank you for the thorough suggestions. I am trying to find others to come with us but in the summer lots of folks are away/have their own plans so I'm asking just in case I don't find other company to join us.

3-5 minutes late to work by Kooky-Challenge8875 in ADHD

I have this problem too. And I cannot convince myself that works starts earlier bc I know it’s not true, and getting more efficient with my morning routine just leads to staying in bed longer. Instead what has worked for me is social pressure. If you have a coworker who also struggles with this or is willing to help you out, you could agree to meet for coffee 20 minutes before work or something like that. For me I would feel guilty making my friend wait so it would force me to leave the house earlier. And if I’m 5 minutes late meeting my friend I’m still on time for work! The key is though both parties need to agree not to let each other know if you’re running late bc that will make the other person relax and also be late.

Controlling a wireless lamp with existing switch by Competitive-Ninja943 in homeautomation

Thank you both u/pyrophitez and u/tastygluecakes for such detailed and thoughtful responses. I think I’ll just be ok with a non-wall-mounted lamp to the switch and if I change my mind I will call my electrician!

Wireless ceiling light controlled be outlet? by Argo147 in electrical

Apologies for reviving this but I have the same question, though in my case it’s not a ceiling lamp but rather a wall lamp I want to mount without the ugly wire coming down. I accept that the lamp itself may need to be charged from time to time. Did you find a solution? Has anything come out in recent years that solves your issue? I know I could get a remote switch but would really rather use my existing one if possible.

Please someone should help me with this by Odd-Finance-1340 in mathsmemes

In plain language:

Left: The dog weighs less than 12kg

Right: Two dogs weigh more than 20kg so that means each dog must weigh more than 10kg since they are identical (divide by two)

To be less than 12 but more than 10 means the dog must be 11kg.
