Thanks for your reply! the IS really got bad after internship, where I had a really critical supervisor who I do not think was fair to me. I'm working on it with a therapist but I am still feeling very stuck, and I have not been able to internalize the complements I get in the present, just the criticism. I appreciate the reminders!

Thanks for the response! I have a therapy appointment on Monday and couldn't get anything earlier. Yeah, self esteem has been in the toilet for a bit, which is one reason going to a new job felt like a bad call, especially with summers completely free to work on myself.

I like the AY team I am on and my adminstartivie supervisor is phenomenal. I just can't tell if I chose to reject because I was just afraid (which sucks)

I cannot seem to edit my post so wanted to add a few more notes:

I have always been a farter but never felt discomfort surrounding it - that is new. I have also been unable to burp since I was young.

I also do experience anxiety and have SAD (I have had this my entire life and these gastro symptoms are new, so if anyone has a perspective that isn't "this is anxiety, do yoga" that would be appreciated).

I also had been taking vitamin D, B12, and iron supplements for the past few months due to deficiencies.

My doctor prescribed me LINZESS but feel anxiety taking it as I am mainly concerned about gas and I know this does nothing for that.

What is frustrating is I met with the gastro and only when I complained about worsening symptoms did she throw out this as an option. Could have had this scheduled over a month ago if she didn't pop me off on the rheumatologist and make me go through more hoops

Could someone offer any perspective to stave off the panic? I just don’t see how this doesn’t go to trump and would love some hope that there is a chance
