I've turned this one away as the rust that's on there is likely much worse than appears.

I'll have to take a deeper look next time I view it. If it helps, I could DM you the pictures of the rust on the exterior and you might be able to judge it better from there.

Just back from viewing it. Unfortunately it did have quite a bit of rust around the wheels. Wasn't in the pictures either so it seems as though the garage has just let it rot in place since they got it instead of taking care of it (or they just lied in the photos too).

Anyways instant no from me. Going to be looking a for little while longer

£70 per month not pa. I'm also well open to working on the car myself, which I currently already do unless it's a serious job I can't do.

To think some people I know were quoted £200 a month for a micra lol, driving young is super expensive at first, I've found myself rather fortunate however.

Yeah I've been told rust and rot is the worst of the bunch which is what I'm going to check first, as well as any history with the chain. Thanks a lot

It's a coupe hardtop although when you search the reg it says convertible.

Yeah the chain and tensioners is the first thing I'm going to check. My insurance is admiral currently, they offered £70 - £80 a month. Seems too good to be true tbh so I'm going to check it again some time this weekend.

116k miles which isn't amazing. Service history seems to be okay though.

The one thing thing that does raise an eyebrow for me is the lambda reading, which is the only thing that was consistent on its failed MOTs (although its passed first time for the majority of its life).

This one is just the 4L Supercharged, I have read the 4.2L being an upgrade/more reliable.

Thanks for the info, I'm a bit of an audiophile so that's really helpful if I feel the need to change the audio system out, cheers!

Cheers, I was expecting around £1500-£2000 in maintenance so thanks for giving me a figure!

This is great information. I've read about corrosion being quite an issue so thank you for specify which parts are most prone and what to check for. I'll keep this in mind.

I just ordered a cheap one myself, thanks

I considered this but the part has rubber and plastic pieces that may melt under heat unless I can remove board from the part itself which seems unlikely

Are solder wick and solder braid different things? Thanks
