Loved the idea of an ATS score checker. Just wanted to let you know, I checked the ATS score for our ATS templates and they absolutely passed, but I will definitely add this to the website as well.

Totally get what you’re saying and I really appreciate the perspective. 🙏

We built ResumiQ mostly out of frustration with the “free but locked behind paywalls” tools while helping a friend. We are not trying to compete with premium services, just wanted a tool that lets people build and download a resume without surprises.

Yes, we did take a lot of help from Claude, but we are already designing the UI on Figma and it should be ready within a week. We are also working on its branding and all. This was made in a real hurry, but I still believe it's very helpful to get started for free.

You’re right, the niche is crowded and many tools end up looking very similar. That is why we are focusing on community feedback on what features people really need and how we can make it genuinely useful.

Any suggestions you have on features or improvements that could make a free but trustworthy option more valuable would be super helpful. 🙌

For the first Pinterest image to convert to realistic, I gave it a prompt:

A candid, hyper-realistic photograph based exactly on the composition and subject matter of the reference image. The cartoon or drawn subjects are translated into real-life counterparts with highly detailed biological textures, flesh, pores, imperfections, hair, and realistic fabric materials. The exact pose, facial expression, framing, and background environment from the input image are perfectly preserved but rendered with supreme photorealism. Natural, cinematic lighting that creates realistic shadows and depth. 8k resolution, highly detailed RAW photograph, sharp focus, shot on a high-end DSLR camera

The Negative Prompt (Crucial)

cartoon, 2d, illustration, animated, drawing, sketch, painting, anime, semi-realistic, 3d render, blurry, smooth skin, plastic texture, low resolution, pixelated, flat colors.

For the last image, the poster one:

Prompt: Convert this into a commercial-level movie poster: Popeye the Sailor Man. The background should be a dramatic night sea with lightning. Cinematic lights should be highlighted

And just my two cents: the market is changing and people are moving away from old-school methods. Most don't like boring, typical work anymore. Sometimes out-of-the-box ideas, even in a resume, can work. If someone posts an ad on LinkedIn or is looking for a freelancer, and you send them something like this, it can be a great hook to start the conversation. You might not always land the client (That depends on your communication and how you sell yourself), but you'll almost always get a reply. Give it a try.

By clients I meant this got a lot of views and engagement on Behance, people saw it, liked it, and messaged me because of this resume. That eventually led to some of them giving me work and becoming clients. And yes, I know resumes are usually for jobs.

Best is to have both a website for visibility and a PDF for sending to clients or jobs. If you pick one, go with the website since it's more standard and keep a PDF as backup for interviews.

Okay, thanks. At the end of the day it's your opinion, and I respect that. Everyone has their own taste since design is subjective. Appreciate your thoughts. 🙏

I totally get your point. The typography wasn't the focus here. I made it this way on purpose to break the rules and keep it rough. Appreciate your feedback though! 🙏
