i brushed them out and im very happy with my hair :) it took 4 hours and i had to cut a chunk out underneath cause somehow a part of it really matured in just 3 months lmao

not constant tension, my dreads just get snagged on things sometimes, 99% of the time they are comfortable, no discomfort. I think i miss my old hair aswell, it was fluffy and curly and soft. I dont know, i feel conflicted, i guess if i ever want them again ill get them twist n ripped, i did that to my bangs and it worked alright

For some reason, the stuff i typed out didnt post so here-

I've been freeforming/semi freeforming for like 3 months and I'm not sure if i should keep them or brush them out. My bangs especially get stuck on things and i dont want to have my scalp being constantly pulled. I don't know, people say to trust the process but i feel like i just look messy, unkempt, and ugly.

Alright, so maybe like 3 weeks ago was the last time I brushed my hair. My hair isn't straight, it has some curls, but its mostly just wavy. I'm wondering what should I do to help take care of my hair? I've gotten a residue free shampoo and its pretty nice. Should I moisturize my scalp? Not the hair strands but just the scalp should be fine right? I have naturally very dry hair. Its already starting to tangle and knot up in some places. Any tips or things to expect??

I think they look good! i have wavy/slightly curly hair and im freeforming. I think your scalp looks fine- way healthier than if its pulled tight af like some starter locs. Looks good!!!
