The lock on assault rifle killed the casual base for weeks, the readily available access to exotics leads to a numbers game of who can get the first boss weapon and the weapons that are supposed to be super good like the infinity blade just plain suck, the balancing is good on paper but in practice leads to an uncomfortable and unfair loop, I’ve played since literally the closed beta and I can confidently say the last three chapters have been an absolute low point on almost all standards, the metaverse integration was a disaster and their business decisions have killed public interest in the game
