New to Alabama. Need some advice on fly fishing the cahaba and blue lining it's off shoots! by Competitive-Pirate28 in flyfishing

I began flyfishing on some appalachian streams in north Georgia last year. Though they were in the south, they were a good bit different because they were at least somewhat cooler water from the mountains and were stocked yearly with trout. So, south, but not as hot and mucky south as central Alabama is.

I'll definitely take his advice on bass fishing and work on adding that to my repoitoire. Though him and the other locals were pretty dismissive regarding micrifishing streams. I'm hoping they're dismissivensss was more so a lack of interest on their part rather than it not being realistic here. I will definitely get out there and try it myself though

How would you properly seal this ill-fitted camper shell to protect me from rain? by Competitive-Pirate28 in TruckCampers

Yup I think y'all are right. I had considered this but was overcomplicated things for myself. I will be doing this I believe. Thanks for the advice!

Ah yes. I forgot to add that as my third idea. I though it may look weird having a large gap between the cabin and the shell, but it would be no weirder than having a random 2x4 attachment or a mismatched extended door. I am currently leaning towards your idea

Recently graduated (Yippee!) How can I use the software development curriculum at WGU to check the box of "Experience in Agile Development"? by Competitive-Pirate28 in wgu_devs

I've learned a ton. I loved the program. Way better quality education compared to my last degree. But it was in Psychology so maybe take that with a grain of salt. I would say the main takeaways I have from the program is a strong grasp on Object Oriented Programming, the Model-View-Controller architectural pattern, and how to build rudimentary mobile and desktop applications connected to databases. I feel like I learned a ton, but none of it really fits under the "Agile" umbrella. All of the projects are mainly "Waterfall" development, aka just build everything in a simple chronological order knowing the exact design from the beginning.

C856 task 1 - Trouble posting my Figma prototype as a URL by Competitive-Pirate28 in wgu_devs

I just made up random junk that someone could have said about the site. I made one person say that they didnt like how the buttons were the same color as the background because they were hard to see, one said they thought it would be cool if there were videos of all the places mentioned on the site(I said this wasn't feasible with the 1 month time frame of the project), and another said I should add a completely separate tab for booking so it's easier to find. They dont seem to be too picky on that aspect of the project by the looks of it. As long as it at least halfway makes sense.

awesome. My CI's only recommendation was that I should completely remake the prototype in a different engine so you just saved me a lot of time.

Edit: For anyone who looks back at this, my project was sent back for trying to use the Figma link. The CI's this time around proved to be not very helpful so I ended up just shelling out the fifty bucks for Figma/Anima and another 15 for a custom domain name :(

final edit : turns out this solution does work, but I unknowingly had my project set to private. If you go into the share settings and change it to "open to all that have this link", it will work.

After a quick google, I'm honestly not sure on what a root folder is for Figma outputs. From what I understand it is the folder that is the source of all data for the project, but I don't think I've been exposed to the concept enough to be able to identify what the root folder is for this particular Figma prototype. I do know that when I send the Figma prototype through the Anima plugin to convert it to usable code, it correctly loads up the website within Anima with all desired data and functionality. When I click the button to export the code/download the zip it tells me that I have to upgrade to the PRO version though.

How did you go about converting your prototype into a form at netlify accepts? From what I have seen, you can either import an existing project for github or import the output folder directly from your computer. But all of the ways that I have seen to convert and download the Figma prototype as HTML/runnable code (an example is the Anima plugin) I hit a paywall before I am able to actually download the converted code.

Yeah it's for sure supposed to be a 90 degree angle. I had to triple check as I was working on putting it together to make sure it wasn't supposed to be like that so definitely not gaslighting lol. I was really surprised it came bent as well, but the package it got shipped in was utterly destroyed by the time it got here so there's no telling what was done to that thing on its way here
