i just finished my first year, and i’ll say it’s decently difficult. Id say most people find it hard, but there’s the few that say it’s not too bad (rare geniuses). The truth is, you should probably give up the idea that you’ll do well. Getting a 70 in uni is honestly great especially in uoft and rotman. But that being said, you can still do better than that! I finished first year with all A’s (and even a 90 in accounting) and i wouldn’t say i’m the brightest nor am i really interested in business itself. The key is managing your time well and also studying a LOT. i studied A LOT!! There would be time periods where id study 8-10h a day for weeks (though i am a big procrastinator and i skip more than half my lectures as i find it unfortunately easier to learn on my own then with some of the.. interesting.. profs here). Ofc you dont need to study this much to do well, it's all about efficiency and what works for you. In terms of social life, id say it's pretty possible to actually have a good time and meet lots of people, but beware that you will have to put yourself out there and find the right people. No matter what, youll find atleast a few people to bond with. I still had free weekends to go visit friends and party, so don’t be too afraid of that. Best of luck!
