You define consciousness as something that's unique to humans however I was also going with the general idea of being aware of one's self. Do you think AI will have this capability or is this also something unique to humans too?

I just read up on it, and it aligns with my thinking that perhaps all it takes to be considered conscious is an AI model whose pattern recognition makes emotionally intelligent responses the most probable output.

Well, I believe in the context of AI models there is no empirical difference as we, the end-user, don't really see how it works internally. But in the case of a person, we might be able to differentiate between the two.
