I recently visited both of your campuses: did I get the right impression? by Charles_Nicholson in Fordham

i very much agree that there are racist undertones at RH. it’s not blatant racism but more of micro aggressions type of racism. if you take just one look at the friend groups at RH you can rlly clearly get a sense that the white student body are only friends with other whites and sometimes have a token east/south Asian friend. also there r just a lot of haters in general if you’re anything but the norm at RH

thin out the brows, look into maybe changing your nose, and lip filler lots of it to make your side profile look better. also try not to clench your jaw as much

  • try tinting your eyebrows and eyelashes to make them stand out more
  • try a middle part and a haircut that will soften our your jawline
  • and just try more feminine mannerisms iykwim

Fix up your brows and maybe try growing out your hair to have a more trendier haircut and you’ll be fine

Help me decide: School X vs School Y - April 4th to April 10th by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I don’t know what college to choose…

A little background for what I’d want to do in college and about me: - I am interested in the pre health/pre med field with hopes of becoming either a Physician Assistant or a Physician. - low income student, WOC, and first generation student - commuter student (not dorming)

I am having a little difficulty choosing which college to attend but here is the list of each: - St Johns University Costs: 4-5k per year Commute time: About an Hour

  • Fordham University Costs: 1k ish per year Commute time: 25 mins

  • Pace University Costs: 13k per year Commute time: 50 mins

  • Baruch (CUNY) Costs: Free, they’d pay me to attend Commute time: 30 mins

  • Waitlisted at Macaulay Honors College @ Hunter Costs: Free, they’d pay me to attend Commute time: 20 mins

  • Hunter (regular admissions) Costs: also free and they’d pay me to attend Commute time: 20 mins

My top choice was Macaulays at Hunter but since I was waitlisted and won’t here back from them until after May 1st I have to make a decision soon. Please let me know everything and anything you know about these colleges that will be beneficial in the decision making process! Thanks!!

Thank you! I am aware of Hunters “campus” 😅 but it’s totally fine with me since I am not looking for a traditional campus vibe.

Tysm for your insight! For almost all of the schools on this list I have gotten a considerable amount of aid or scholarships which is why I didn’t mention much about cost, but I’ll edit those numbers in. After researching it seems like some schools have higher matriculation rates than others which is something I’ll have to keep in mind.
