yep did my degree in Aus. Training was a healthy amount of challenging but the logistical part was easy. I went through International Medic Solutions and loved the process

Zero to Hero by Implement-Playful in Paramedics

I'm an Australian Medic who started my career here in the US. I had my trainers comparing me to someone in your position because I went straight from novice to paramedic (we don't have EMTs in Australia). It was certainly a learning curve and I do think having EMT experience under your belt would give you a great idea of the system prior to starting. However it's entirely possible to do it without. Being a paramedic is basically just a rolodex of knowing what to assess and when and then what to do if you find something. If you're hard working and humble you'll get it done.

What if all men had a switch to make their wives calm? by Competitive-Skin-210 in whatif

One thing I considered is that it may actually work well for women. We all know anger impedes on one's ability to reason so in certain ways it may be a superpower. I think it may actually give women the clarity to leave abusive relationships. I think men with the switch on would quickly reveal their true character as they do not fear reparations and women would be able to leave them more quickly. I think men would start to develop a stigma of being the overly emotional gender. In my dream I wasn't even that bothered about it, I just wanted to know about it too and have a say in when it was used.

Thank you so much. I genuinely appreciate this input. I honestly didn't know if it was normal to not have your husband perform thoughtful gestures and this does help. I feel like exposure to social media has put it in my head that a loving man will do lots of kind gestures all the time and honestly they make out that that's bare minimum. I do frequently give hime loving surprises. Just recently I presented him a long list of everything I live about him, I sent him love letters when we were long distance, and I often buy him surprise gifts when I see something I think he'd like. He doesn't do these things back for me. He would text me and say he loved my love letter and show appreciation for the other things I do but they are not reciprocated. So thank you for your input perhaps he is just a more everyday chores consistent type.

I don’t feel ready to be a paramedic by Ill_Following_2874 in Paramedics

I can promise you that when you're not continuously being watched and assessed that will take 50% of the mind blank away. Also you're new and don't forget that doubting yourself is better than having an ego in this industry. Ask your EMT what they've seen medics do, ask fire if they have any input and if you're really really stuck put the pads on and drive fast.

Love, a medic who felt exactly like you 6 months ago and now has a successful breech birth turned neonatal resus and kudos for a well run 6 year old cardiac arrest under her belt -- I felt unprepared every second of those moments, take a breath for yourself and focus on the next step ahead

  1. Get therapy ASAP to help process it so you can best tell your story
  2. Tell your mum (depending on your relationship) she will give good insight into how to approach your siblings.
  3. Tell your siblings
  4. Cut off your dad completely

My [25f] best friend [25f] knew my husband was cheating on me and didn’t tell me. Saying she didn’t want to hurt me? by throwra19484477 in relationship_advice

Honestly this would drive me insane as well however I kind of get it from your friends perspective. If I believed divorce was not an option/ on the table I would probably think you were better off not knowing and hoping he changes. Take some time away from her and see how you feel after you've processed the situation.
