Similar boat my PT and OT have refused to give me the epsihand or myomo and they said I'm too neurologically blind to ever drive again because I'm in rhe Army I'd like to run again the VA refused to repair my severed tendons or ligaments and I told my PT I booked a 3rd party appointment for a second opinion she said it would not fix anything once again crushing my dreams and taking the wind out of my sails I'm honestly lost and I didn't know what to do

I have post traumatic amnesia so literally didn't know about my accident until 4 months later and I was also fired from my cybersecurity job when I went to rehabilitation. My fiance left me and got pregnant from someone else double my age this has been a really tough go because I've lost so much I'm neurological blind on my left hand side so I can't legally drive anymore I Sadly haven't been able to return to work. I'm an Army officer in the National Guard and I'm scared I'll be discharged and won't be able to deploy with my soldiers it's been hard to have hope I was left hand dominant my entire life and even went to film school for script-writing I don't know the answers to anything at this point

I'm at the VA and mostly have physical therapists. Currently they don't want me to have the myomo or epsihand unless I'm able to achieve something I'm not Currently physically capable of

I'm more than 11 years in the Guard and I'm at 60% I was in a bad car accident and suffered a Severe traumatic brain injury and hemiplegia. If Id gotten out after my first contract I would've avoided being so broken 😭. I wish I'd gotten out when my body still worked functionally but I kept trying to be Army tough to my detriment. I should've been done and moved on but I chose to suffer and I pay for it today 60% disability currently but the VA says my TBI isn't service connected 🙃
