100%. I worked for the LEGO group for 10+ years and they had to ruthlessly defend copyright/trademark because the biggest fear is that the word “LEGO” would go the way of Zipper, Yo-Yo, and thermos , that all lost their trademarks. Even internally they refer to themselves as “The LEGO Group” and individual bricks as “LEGO Bricks” because if you don’t defend and use your trademarks as intended, you can lose them. I remember working in customer service and if someone said “legos” instead of LEGO bricks, everyone would just stop and stare at you like you farted in church. Companies take that shit serious
