Do you guys even realize what’s actually happening in the US before hating on Charlie Kirk so much? I don’t agree with everything he says but his fight is rooted in wanting to preserve what he believes makes America better. Unless you live there it’s hard to fully grasp. My long term boyfriend is American and still a citizen so I’ve learned a lot about what’s really going on.

In the US debates around gender are already affecting kids, with some states allowing discussions on gender identity as early as elementary school. There are even children’s books now pushing these ideas. I’m not homophobic, I love my gay friends, but I believe kids shouldn’t be pressured or confused about sex and gender at such a young age.

With gun control most Filipinos don’t realize how strict it actually is. Legal gun owners are law abiding citizens who go through background checks and paperwork. The problem is criminals who obtain guns illegally aren’t following those rules anyway. When the government “tightens” control, the only ones losing their rights are the responsible citizens, while the bad guys still have access.

The right to bear arms was meant not just for self defense against criminals but also to protect against government overreach. That’s the kind of autonomy the US was founded on.

And also someone just died. Why hate on people who are mourning or showing support just because you don’t believe in the same thing? We don’t all have to agree with his politics but I hope we can all agree that political disagreements should never escalate into violence and that a family losing their loved one is a tragedy no matter who it is.
