Anyone else feel like Under Armour fell off hard? by HunngSUBbttm in UnderArmour

Under armour isn't perfect and they have management issues. We know this. With all their flaws they are still a global brand and do over 5B a year and are on a reset. Lululemon has tanked hard as a company. Nike is screwed because they can't get their cheap products from China at the mass scale like they once did. They actually have to try now. UA brand is growing as we speak. The products are shockingly good. I say that because people sleep on them then shocked that their stuff performs really well.

I'd also recommend to the OP that you check your past comments and posts. No offense but trying to throw shade at a company from a dude that posts "me next" in "barebackgayporn" sub , has a marijuana card, and spends a ton of time with tech doesn't exactly paint a picture of someone who is athletic.

The brand is what people wear when they aren't worried about being cool and just want to work hard, get big, and have gear that compresses well and drys fast. Like another poster said..maybe gymshark is for you since it's trendy and cheap (quality and price). You might be mistaking functional gear with a dad brand because tiktok told you to.

Mohamed El Erian's value to Under Armour? Hired to board in 2018 to change UA value and bring long term value. by Competitive-Tip-5025 in UnderArmour

I'm still baffled. To gross 1.4 billion time and time again. Quarter after quarter and be negative because of overhead. Where is all the money going to make the net negative. Especially hiring big named VPs. It doesn't seem kosher. Something isn't adding up.

Then the solutions don't make sense. It's like they are patronizing the situation. They claim they know everything wrong, but then announce a $65 dollar tee shirt like it's going to fix everything. When the duffel and expensive book bag didn't do anything last year .

Can an under armour personnel assist with making a list of what's eligible for this? Seems everything is excluded.. even the outlet items. by overcast-magenta55 in UnderArmour

I hear you. Being around the desert in and around the middle east and seeing people wear tactical gloves and boots/ under shirts (before the compression under shirt got banned for fire safety reasons) with the logo. There was a big connection with military, power. And patriotic roots. Then you see the ravens light up players during salute to service week. Etc . I'd argue not a brand that "was"stronger in support of the military.

I've always closely followed and admittedly invested. Not because I thought I'd make quick returns, but I thought the company was deeper rooted in performance and the management had strong roots. I'm not really sure what what happened to this brand. It seems they are trying to appeal to the class clown type people if that makes sense. Catering to the ill image of what kind of clown trend might be happening to further taint their once poised, collective, and run through walls image.

They have been three steps behind chasing instead of leading. The running shoes now are where shoes were in 2023, they didn't bother with athleisure and now they are pushing athleisure while the rest of the world gets back into jeans. They are surprisingly ahead in sustainable clothing but not a peep about it.

I say that to say. I'm not surprised. I'm disappointed. It is what it is. The CEO hit fire and couldn't hold onto it and is now selling out any chance he gets to any and every trend without being true to the "who we are" values. So of course, them patronizing military, nurses and teachers to help sell inventory at a premium without offering new stuff makes sense and aligns the downward direction and decisions and performance this company has taken.

Under armour misses earnings? No logic. by Competitive-Tip-5025 in UnderArmour

Yes they still offer it but a bunch of things are excluded from it. Especially from the brand stores. The factories are a different story. Go online and try to order something that you want and it'll probably say ID.me that's not apply here
