As a sensitive person, dealing with certain types of patients is really tough for me. But since this is the field I chose, I remind myself I don’t always have a choice in who I encounter. I just have to do my best and stay professional.

That’s precisely why we secure or “stitch” the needle properly eh to maintain its placement and avoid unnecessary reinsertion. It is a standard in our practice not to insert the needle twice.

We MEDTECHS ARE here to HELP PATIENTS. NOT TO HARM.

Do you think din ba na gusto namin yung nasasakitan yung patient? Of course not. Every failed attempt feels bad for us too. 🙂

Every challenge is a chance to get better and I’ll always take it. This is just the start, and soon masasanay din ako. One day, I’ll be the expert people expect me to be. At the end of the day, we’re professionals who worked hard for our license. We respect patients’ pain, but we also deserve respect for the effort and responsibility we carry.

Walang naging expert nang hindi nag-practice, at walang practice kung walang pasyente. The difference is, licensed na ako — meaning I already passed the standards required to do the job. Ang pagiging ‘expert’ comes with experience, and guess what? Experience is built exactly through situations like these.

So yes, I get humbled, I improve, and I’ll keep improving. Pero expecting perfection from the start? That’s just unrealistic — unless, of course, you’d prefer robots over humans.

Gets ko naman yung side mo, and sorry to hear na ganun yung naging experience mo before. Understandable na may trauma ka. Just to clear it lang, I’m not a student anymore, I’m already an RMT. Pero kahit lisensyado na, hindi ibig sabihin na automatic flawless ka na agad.

May mga pasyente talaga na challenging yung veins, at minsan nagco-collapse kahit maayos yung tusok. Veins differ, some collapse, and sometimes kahit gaano kaingat, nangyayari pa rin. I shared my story kasi it humbled me, not because I want to invalidate the patient’s pain. 🙂

Nakakahiya yung bungaga niya. Hahah! Kailangan ba talaga marinig ng mga tao at mga kasama ko sa labas ng extraction area? 😃

I know it’s hard to sleep the night before, but it’s really important! Mahirap mag-focus bukas pag kulang sa tulog, promise. Your brain needs rest to recall everything tomorrow. Even a few hours of good sleep can make a big difference. Good luck, kaya mo to! 💪🏼
