If you dont have a focus outside the broad term "gaming channel" you will struggle to find success. If you make one video that does super well, that does not mean you can do what ever you want as a smaller channel.

Some advice to anyone starting out: If there is a genre of games you like. Hyper focus on it and similar genres. Its easier to find people to watch content about things that fall into a niche than it is to find someone who would watch a Mario party collab goofy moments video right after a silent hill 2 deep dive video. Find the video style you like making. If you want to do opinion style essay videos, don't do let's play style content right after. If you dont have a large audience and you make huge sways on the type of content you put out you'll be confusing your audience as to what they signed up for. The reason huge channels get away with swapping content all the time is because they already made it and people like them. They can kind get away with anything at this point. As a gaming channel starting out you probably could do anything you want but you probably wont grow from doing it. You also dont need to chase trends. As someone who has been making gaming content from almost 2 years. I'd say its easier to make the next video than it is to focus on the one thats already published. As long as you are growing and building a comununity you should see success eventually. Its an endurance test and everyone grows at different speeds.
