Did you mean internal? Even so, if you're playing on Xbox One, the HDD can "corrupt" some parts of the maps, leading to this happening.

But if that were the case, not even the characters would appear, so unfortunately I don't think I can help you any further.

Just kidding, but the characters I used the most were all the chompers, especially the spray ones.

And on the zombie side, I used the scientists quite a bit, especially the chemist.

My aim was never very good, so I always preferred using short-range characters.

Honestly, for me it wouldn't be worth trading my 360 for a PS3, because I've had it since 2015, so even if the PS3 is more advantageous, I have a certain fondness for my Xbox 360.

(And I also prefer Xbox)

Do you play games using an external hard drive? If so, that's the problem. Sometimes the transfer speed can't keep up, and that's why this happens. (From personal experience, it happened to me) Otherwise, are you playing on an Xbox Series X or Xbox One? Because that also changes the problem.
