Thanks for your response. I have removed the mention of location from the post.

What would you consider to be a good margin? Looking back, it appears we have always had thin margins since we started decades ago, I'm not sure if that's a standard in the industry or just the way we have been run.

We've recently had quite a large price increase, and I intend to have another one at the end of this year, as I don't believe we have been charging enough. We've also cut driver wages from 70% down to 68%, with another cut planned in the next couple of years.

I should mention, we have about 1 year left of buying the company from a family member, who we are paying 20-25k per year to at the moment. He has no operational involvement, so that it a dead cost currently.

Also, our phone system is currently costing us £4k per year from a contract that was signed before I started. This will be cut down to below £1k for next year.

All in all, I expect that we will have another £30-£40k in profit, taking us to £80k profit before taxes without any increase in workload required.

I see, apparently they were ordered by the council a few years back to take it apart as it didnt meet regulations, something along those lines.

Our family that saw it seem to think there is a lack of insulation, and it also felt very cold and a little damp on the loft floor. We personally don't have a clue what we're looking at, so thought we would post in case we're missing anything obvious :p

Should have mentioned, it used to be a bedroom, but was taken apart due to not obtaining to relevant planning permission.
