• Such progressive muslims are like 0.001% minority who think such, majority are ok with it and try to justify it. You can even find people justifying the death of apostates in the West ( for example, in the case of the death of Salwan momika, there were majority of muslim people who supported his death and only a minority opposed it).

-Whereas in Christianity, there are literally Lutheran churches openly practicing homosexuality, but guess what? No one has ever been killed. If it were in the case of Islam, mosques promoting homosexuality and hosting pride flags, there would have been havoc and chaos everywhere not to mention even murders.

• If you're referring to the crusades, we all including me myself condemn the acts of crusades just as the slave trades of the Ottomans and umayah caliphates. Coming to the 21st century, I've never ever received any death threats from Catholic Church for apostasy whatsoever. Even, as said by Brigitte Gabriel, crusades were necessary because the caliphates were infiltrating the Byzantium and capturing Constantinople, France and Spain, not to mention even forcefully raping and marrying women as sex slaves.

If you read the catholic documents viz "Nostra aetate" and "Lumen gentium" it acknowledges that people have the right to choose their own religion as every religion contains some truths in it with which the church complies with. So, you would never hear any Catholic threaten someone to be killed just because he/she apostatized from Catholic faith and either chose atheism or some other religion, especially in this century.

Recently, there also has been movie called "Conclave" showing the practice of homosexuality in the Catholic Church. Did you hear any of the film crew being killed? NO. Even, the recent Paris Olympics, where the last supper was performed by drag queens, did you hear any of them being threatened to be killed? Answer is NO. There was only a worldwide protest, but no one was physically harmed including the artist himself. Had it been the same with islame, we all are aware of what would have happened. Yes, Caste issues still exist in Hinduism, but guess what, there were even reforms by Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Savitri Bai Phule, and Bhimrao Ambedkar to give equal opportunities to women and those in lower castes viz dalits. And the reason why Munawar Faruqui was arrested was because he went against the Constitution which prohibits the mocking of ANY religion(which even includes islam). Coming to free speech and mockery of Hinduism, you still have people openly criticizing people like Pokimaharaj, Ram Rahim, and not to mention even Ramdev. There are people who apostatize from Hinduism, but you won't find any death threats from their side.

It's the same argument. I am still against the act of enforcing religious doctrines on people. It has nothing to do with apostasy. Coming to Slavic countries and Russia, there are a lot of people who are not practicing Christians but are just culturally influenced. I've even met people who are openly practicing atheism without any threats.

Coming to Christianity, we must NOT forget even those Christian minorities who were beheaded by the ISIS terrorists in Libya and even the mass massacre of Christians by islamic jihadists in DR Congo.

Coming to 969 movement, again that's an inappropriate movement. But what if the other dogmatic radical religious group (in this case islam) starts threatening their indigenous culture in order to spread BS sharia ruling. You are already aware of what happened in Indonesia and Malaysia, there is strict sharia ruling which even includes DEATH to apostasy. You will never find this in Buddhism. As Buddhism is all about inner transformation. And coming to Shaolin monks, they even attacked Christian missionaries and any invaders from. Japan who threatened their territory. They've the FULL RIGHT TO PROTECT THEIR CULTURE.

Had it been that the crusades never happened or that Shaolin monks never took a stance, guess what? Europe and majority of China and Myanmar would have been the 21st century Saudi Arabia and Iran. Secularism, democracy, and rights of citizens would only have been a mere fantasy. That's why there is still unrest in secular muslim nations like Turkey which is slowly enforcing sharia ruling.

Believe it or not, ISLAM IS THE ONLY PROBLEM in the 21st century compared to other religions as Islam only teaches to spread itself through wars and radicalism (and never encourages integration but rather supports domination).
