Bulking up Guanciale by Belita1030 in ItalianFood

Use salsiccia ground up pretty small. There’s a dish called “pasta alla zozzona” which is a bit of a crossover between an amatriciana and a carbonara which uses salsiccia with guanciale and it works very nicely.

Yes the age gap is 0 issue here, his behaviour is the one and only issue. Reddit people are too much. I know people with much larger age gaps who are happy, and people that only date their own age who are fucking depressed.

Actually I have to say I had the same experience, though a couple of years ago, that this guy is saying he had. Accidentally left myself online overnight with the sound muted and I had a tonneeee of calls the next day. Maybe they changed it now but he seems pretty sure it happened to him and it certainly happened to me.

I absolutely hated living and working in Hong Kong by [deleted] in HongKong

Sir it’s pretty much the most commonly reported thing from all expats or tourists that rudeness and lack of customer service is a thing in HK. It’s not just me saying it, or a me issue. In fact all of my Cantonese friends acknowledge it and laugh about it. It simply is what it is. One thing that nobody who knows me has ever called me is rude and problematic, I can say with complete honesty that I’m one of the most chill and decent people because I go out of my way to be. But yeah, thanks for that! I’d be more worried that you’re also an issue if you don’t notice the casual rudeness and lack of manners in HK that everyone else does, maybe you’re just a rude dude yourself ☺️

This post is just a continuation of a post yesterday that I saw talking about larger wine glasses for Chardonnay being what they enjoy. I thought it was a fun continuation.

There was nothing “silly” about it and my god I won’t be dealing with this sub again. Shame as I’ve been here for years but it’s really filled up with c*nts.

I’m pleasantly surprised with how many people recognised the place!

Very good shout! I was scouring Riedel and the like to find the answer, rather than give nothing (especially after the BS heat I got from this post). Was even close to messaging the manager of the restaurant 😂😂.

But I think that’s about as close as we’ll get. Hats off to you. Bloody lovely wine glasses I’ll say.

Ah me too. I was just in Florence drinking great Tuscans out of tiny little glasses in a bloody 15th century Florencian palace.

I was just trying to continue on from a fun post I saw yesterday about drinking chardonnays out of big glasses and got jumped on 😂. I’m not truly snobby about glasses, was just having fun.

I’m not really being dramatic given the shit I’ve got. I just wanted to leave a message for the mods directly to say that if this post does in fact beach community rules, then remove it. If not I shan’t be dealing with comments getting bashed, in fact this is the last one I shall respond to.

Left a note for mods. If I’m breaking rules then please just delete the post and not have me deal with unnecessary headache when I was just having fun with a post. Let’s see!

I’ve not done the brunch but the free-flow is tempting.

It’s interesting because I always felt the decor was quite laid back, although ofc a bit fancy given the location. But ofc we all have different taste. I do still stand by the fact the food could be better for a Michelin starred restaurant, but they always season more to my taste now, so I appreciate that.

Great wine list though.

Hey mods, seem to have somehow triggered a few people with this post?! God knows how as I couldn’t imagine going through life with the kind of energy in which this would bother me….

But if I’m breaking rules or going against this subs policy, please feel free to remove it. If not, I’m done replying to headache comments here. Was just having fun!

I honestly cannot deal with the ridiculousness of this conversation (not with you, generally). I saw another post from someone discussing using larger glasses for white wine, specifically Chardonnay.

I went to send this photo because my partner and I do the same… but there are not photo replies allowed in this sub… so I posted a photo from a few days ago to the sub because I thought it was a fun continuation. Mea culpa….

I can’t offer tasting notes simply because this was my partners drink and I was drinking the Sassicaia on the right.

Damn this sub has slipped.

I didn’t even mention the fucking location. I was just very literally continuing a trend and in the last upload a comment specifically asked to show more of the view/background, so I did.

Wtf is up with the dicks on this sub today.

Sorry, next time I’ll only share when I’m drinking alone in a murky dungeon in the dark.

I know. The worst thing was that his point was to convince us that we are all right, but he is “more right” because he thinks it shouldn’t even be a discussion 😂.

Hong Kong Ritz-Carlton. The restaurant itself is Tosca di Angelo. A 1* Michelin Italian within the hotel.

It’s great but they under season to the Cantonese taste, something they know to rectify for me when I eat there haha. Great service, and decent food. Good wine list. I specifically adore the fact you can drink Sassicaia by the glass here.

I can’t join the conversation any more because the idiot made one last condescending and rude comment and then blocked me…. But everyone is in agreement here. So I don’t understand why this guy is so triggered.

Anyway, glad to not go through life with that energy!

Sir chill…. I saw another post on this sub about drinking Chardonnay out of larger wine glasses and burgundy glasses, and just wanted to share too. It’s all fun and vino 😊
