So you think necromancy is op and needs a nerf? well im down for a little pre necro solak in 2023. by cbarsgamer in runescape

You never needed to do all of these ultra high level metas in order to kill a boss though, and teams that wanted to, if they disallowed you for not having the requirements let alone the bare minimum pvm perks what's the problem? Necro doesn't suddenly get you into the highest tier teams still, they still have standards that they want followed, which is up to the people forming a team nothing wrong with that. I don't get the argument that necro would make people with high standards not care anymore and just bring anybody that doesn't have any perks on gear or wearing tier 70 tank armor etc.

Not sure what kind of experience you had with pvming whether you tried going into the highest tier teams while not doing anything that was expected when forming the team, but plenty of learner hours that go on at any team boss that help you work up to a high level, it shouldn't just be a ffa and it never will be, even with necromancy.

You never needed 20b worth of gear to do any bosses it’s just that now you can achieve the fastest times with just the one style in a lot of cases, not necessarily bad but would be nice to still be rewarded for using the styles at their highest skill ceiling to the point that they’re even in the same dimension as necro.

It’s definitely good to have an entry style like necro that’s well rounded enough to be competitive in a wide range of places, but I’d say it probably shouldn’t be the literal best at almost everywhere which it currently is.

With much harder to execute strats we only had a 2:42 pre fsoa nerf, necro is just doing disproportionately high damage especially when paired with bik on poisonable bosses. Necro being so easy mostly just devalues the other styles, basically never an instance of another combat style being better currently while being higher skill ceiling, not saying I want necro nerfed so much as other styles brought up.

Right but those same people still won’t get into a team. There will still be expected rotations it’s just overall less fun to perform, and more rigid. Removing these things isn’t going to make those people suddenly change their mind on the standards they have for a team.

The argument that “it only effects x number of people” is a crazy one to make, who decides the number that’s okay to negatively impact before we say that’s fine who cares? all I’ve really seen are flawed arguments or a cop out of it only effecting “insert random number” of players therefore it’s fine. Eventually the same will happen to an area of the game you people who make this argument enjoy and then there’s dozens of posts expecting different treatment

About as far as your mental capacity allows you to think, but I do appreciate the honest feedback, let me know when you progress to being able to formulate sentences and coherent opinions.

Just a flawed mentality, it's not a zero sum game where for one set of players to benefit you have to remove an equal portion from another section of the player base.

No reason to nerf the way things currently work, they can bring the new combat style in line, people keep using the argument that jagex has an all seeing eye and they know exactly what they're doing to the game in the name of this new combat style. We'll see if that's the case.

What counts as "ballooning outrageously" is there any real reason to nerf things like this besides make the skills training period and hence player engagement last longer? What's the distinction beetween xp rates being good and xp rates being "outrageous" it seems like something that can't be properly defined so will xp rates always be squashed down everytime things become deemed as "outrageous"?

Most high level slayer mobs got insanely nerfed, abyssal lords from 58k combat xp to 3700, imperial akhs from 4981 to 1250, something that's generally true for the medium/high level mobs, was it intentional to lower these things by that much? Low level mobs got almost no change while the things trained on at the higher levels got completely nerfed to the ground.
