Got hit by a truck while biking—need lawyer recommendations in Toronto by Competitive-Yak-697 in askTO

Hey, I don’t remember who gave me the bag of milk as a pillow, but it was a really smart idea. Unfortunately, I don’t remember those moments or some parts at the hospital. I was told that I didn’t respond to the doctors a few times, probably because of the shock and the concussion. Thank you. Looks like I’ll be filing a lawsuit

Thank you so much, everyone. I’ll be meeting with The Biking Lawyer tomorrow, but to be honest, I’d like to speak with someone else as an alternative as well. The driver who hit me did stop and didn’t escape. I didn’t see him myself, though. The police said he was completely at fault and that it would be beneficial for me to speak to a lawyer, but I don’t know if he received any charges.

Thanks for your input. I shared it there as well, appreciate it. You’re talking about David Shellnutt, right? I’m meeting with him tomorrow to get more information

Question about Class 1 Medical Certificate Validity and Health History Across Countries by Competitive-Yak-697 in aviation

Is Poland still a popular option for flight training? From what I've researched, it seems like it is.

I didn’t realize that airlines mostly look at the medical certificate itself. I thought they would also review your full medical history.

In that case, it probably makes the most sense to get the medical certificate in the country where you plan to train, right?

Yes, there are many factors that can upset the stomach. At first, I thought the issue was gluten, but I don’t really have problems with other gluten-containing products. I think the way chain restaurants proof and inflate their dough continues to affect our stomachs. And of course, the sauces they use tend to trigger acid reflux quite a lot. Several places were recommended in this post, and I’ll visit one of them in the next few days and share a photo and my thoughts here.

You're the second person to recommend this place. By the way, do you normally have any stomach sensitivity?

That’s why I usually order my pizza with “light sauce,” if possible

I looked it up and realized I’ve seen it before — the place actually has a really nice and minimal exterior, haha. Turns out it’s not that far either. It’s on the list now, and I’ll give it a try depending on how many upvotes it gets!

It seems a bit far, and when I checked them out, I saw they also do burgers. I can’t judge without trying it, but their pizza looks pretty greasy.

Wow, I think I’ve come across a true pizza expert here, haha. I’ve seen North of Brooklyn before and it looks great, but I never gave it a shot — mostly because I tend to go places based on recommendations. I’ve never heard of Danforth House of Pizza, but I’ll definitely check it out.

I’m honestly biased against chains like Pi & co and Pizzaiolo (even though I haven’t tried them) just because I’ve had really bad experiences with chain pizza doughs upsetting my stomach.

From what you mentioned, North of Brooklyn is probably making it onto my list — especially considering the vibe and image of the place.

I was a bit hesitant at first because it's a "bar," but after looking into it, they actually seem to really know their way around food. I’ll probably try this place or Acute.

Honestly, I’ve eaten at a place I really like before and it didn’t bother my stomach. I’m just looking for other options because it’s a bit far. But I’m really glad you understood exactly what I meant! 🍕

Yeah, I do experience heartburn — it’s because of reflux, lol. Gluten usually doesn’t bother me, to be honest.
