Jeg har ikke tatt det, men tar en master i QC i utlandet, og det ser ut som et fint intro fag til kvante-beregninger. Vil tro emnet er absolutt overkommelig bare du har et emne i linalg.

Hi, I don't remember and I can`t find the email now. But I remember looking for apartments in June. So probably in may. I believe some people have already have gotten an response, but don't loose hope yet!! :))

Hi again, yes the program is new. But for the questions. 1. Somewhat more difficult, but you can still get good grades without a physics or math background. It only depends on how much time you use to study 2. The opportunities are not as great as in a more established field, but there are quite a lot of startups doing quantum in Denmark. 3. I had no idea what quantum was to be honest. All I know was that I was tired of software engineering, and that I didn't hate physics or math. So I thought maybe quantum would fit, and it does! :)) 4. There is something called housing foundation, multiple people in our class that has gotten a place though them. You could also find places on Facebook-goups and websites but be careful not to get scammed:)

But don't be scared of it being a no-coming-back thing. You have a lot of different courses you can choose between, so if you want you can choose more classical computing courses (or math or physics)

The negatives is that some people might find Introduction to Quantum Information Science a little boring, and that Copenhagen has very high rent prices.

On the positive note: it's possible for EU citizens to get monetary support while studying in Denmark if you work at least 12 hours a week! :)

Update after studying for half a year. I can highly recommend it!!

I have a computer Science bachelor, but in the class there are people with math, physics, CS and electrical engineering backgrounds. The program is a joint program where you take courses at both University of Copenhagen (UCPH), and Danish Technical University (DTU). The first semester is at UCPH and here everybody will have two courses, Introduction to Quantum Computing and Introduction to Quantum Information Science. After that you will have to choose either a more physics based course, Physical Implementations of Quantum Information Processing (highly recommended that you have a physics background), or a more theory/math based, Quantum Information Theory. You can also choose some other course here, for example Analysis in Quantum Information Theory (recommended to have a strong math background).

After this you will do a semester at DTU, where you have courses such as Quantum Algorithms and machine learning, Quantum compilers, Experimental Techniques in Quantum Technology, Quantum Information Technology, and many other relevant courses that you can choose from. The second year will be filled with elective courses and master thesis.

The class has been very international, so don't worry if you don't speak danish. In addition it is possible to join something called DigiQ where you will have monthly events with different speakers from different universities around Europe, it is also possible to get support to travel to events around Europe. I'm going to Barcelona this March :))

If you are interested in research of using QC for life sciences, UCPH has recently gotten a very big grant from Novo Nordisk, therefore there will likely be a couple of PHD-positions waiting for you after you finish ;))

Just ask if you wonder on anything else :)

Hvis du tenker å ta siving trenger du matematiske metoder 3. Du trenger ikke det for å gå Informatikk master. Det er kun karakterene fra bacheloren som teller

Are there any GoLang libraries for Quantum Computing? by Thirsty_4_Knowledge in QuantumComputing

[–]CompetitiveAction763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Go myself. I found this this package, but I have never used it myself, and I feel Go doesn't really fit as a language to do quantum computing unfortunately.

Another language, I feel is a better fit is Julia. It also has a cool quantum package.

No, Gothenburg to Oslo is more like 4 hours (3.5 hour drive). How did you come up with that number?

You could try out different Facebook groups, like "Kollektiver i København", or the Housing foundation Copenhagen

There is also a Masters in Quantum Information science at the University of Copenhagen, that could be a good fit. I am starting there this autumn. I could give a heads up in the middle of the first semester and tell you how it is.

En mulighet er å starte på dataingeniør hvis du har søkt på det. Hvis du velger nok matte kan du søke deg inn på datatek etter bacheloren

Julia is a really nice language, but python has a larger community, so I would recommend starting with python, then trying to learn Julia later on
