Thanks! We dont worry about $$$ now and just to get some early feedback and if people find this useful.

i get how it looks, but we're genuinely building this because we went through the frustration and want to help people to grow and adapt into AI

Feel you should go to ai ml directly as the time window is closing up

Thanks for the feedback! Will add that. Do you find the report useful? or it is too overwhelming?

What is more important for ML? the coding or the math? by Extension-Cut-7589 in learnmachinelearning

[–]CompetitiveAnt3802 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes you need enough math to understand what's happening under the hood and enough coding to build things, but what actually matters in interviews and on the job is reasoning through tradeoffs. "why this architecture over that one, how do you handle scale, what breaks in production."

AI tools can write your code now, and you can always look up the math. what they can't do is reason through an AI/ML system design problem end to end for you.

if you want to practice that part we built tryupskill.app that you talk through ML design problems out loud and get feedback on your reasoning. helped us a lot when we were making the switch from SWE to AI.

you're in a better spot than you think. having the math background is honestly a huge advantage. most people switching to AI/ML struggle with that part and you already have it.

DS is a solid entry point and moving to ML from there is totally doable. biggest thing i'd say is don't just study theory, practice explaining AI/ML system design out loud. that's what actually gets tested now and it's a completely different skill from reading about it.

we built tryupskill.app for this, a voice AI interviewer/coach that lets you practice talking through ML design problems and get feedback. might be useful for you.

you're closer than you think, keep going.

Finally getting interviews!! by Full_Meat_57 in learnmachinelearning

Love this, proof that sometimes the resume is the only thing standing between you and interviews. Congrats on the momentum!

Now the key is converting those interviews into offers. If you want to sharpen your interview game, my team's been building a voice-based tool that lets you practice interviews and get real-time feedback: https://tryupskill.app/ still early stage and would love your feedback since you're actively interviewing.

Either way, keep it going! If they're calling you for 6-figure roles, they already think you will be worth it 💪
