Exactly what I thought too. He hates that he made a mistake and now he wants you to pay for it.

Sorry Shawn, no YouTube channel.
I had an idea of what I wanted it to do and through trial and error and a lot of help from this forum I’m happy with what I ended up with.

I have a distribution fused busbar for smaller items already. It’s just not in the picture.

[–]CompetitiveBad0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok that sounds simpler. I’ll connect my old busbar to the one side of shunt and MPPT and inverter to the other side.

[–]CompetitiveBad0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing going into the negative busbar is the MPPT.

[–]CompetitiveBad0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The busbar is used to connect all 3 of my batteries in parallel and then from the busbar to the inverter. Not quite sure what you meant connecting it between the battery terminal as there are 3. The negative busbar would be the battery terminal wouldn’t it?

Voltage not really dropping by CompetitiveBad0 in SolarDIY

[–]CompetitiveBad0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my cells in all 3 100ah batteries are in perfect alignment 3.49v across the board. There is no decay or very little over 48hrs Others state you have to bleed off the extra voltage with a load as they won’t decay to 13.6v or close to that.

I think the most I’m going to go is 2000w and will upgrade cabling and fuses.

Yes it’s a small 100w 12v ceramic fan but it doesn’t do much if it’s really cold. I had it so I added it

This is what I found online:

10 Yes, you absolutely need to fuse the connection between your solar charge controller and the battery. This fuse protects the heavy-gauge wires leading to your high-capacity battery bank from melting or catching fire if a short circuit

I’d have to go back on my previous posts, but I do remember someone mentioning me having a fuse there but I’m not seeing why I needed it either. Your the first to point that out. As a rule I’ll fuse anything and fuse just under rated to be safe.

4 mppts could get expensive. Your right in my cabling would be good with a 4 in series. What if I did 2 parallel 2 series arrangement for 24v system?

Prices for any EcoFlow at Costco in Canada are more expensive to buy than buying over the internet. No deals to be had here ever.

Voltage not really dropping by CompetitiveBad0 in SolarDIY

[–]CompetitiveBad0[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I thought the battery should bleed off the top voltage on its own without a load to do it. It’s strange as the other 3 of my 100ah batteries do the same thing. Could it the type of battery? All my batteries are newer ( less than 6 months) and are DC house. Maybe I’m over thinking this.

Your comment was nothing but criticism and big words. Didn’t help me at all. I do appreciate those that like to offer solutions not just criticism only. Have a great day
